Good Food, Bad Service. Food is great and consistent. It’s better to go with a Korean buddy though, otherwise it’s just your typical Korean service experience. Different culture.
This is the best restaurant in town, my favorite hands down! try the kimchi fried rice in stone grill or bento box, awesome yam rolls and agadeshi tofu! The service is not typical so be prepared for pseudo self service, cool atmosphere with Korean pop videos too. The people who don’t like this should try Boston pizza or chilis. Quick Bite. Having read the reviews before coming I decided to skip the bento boxes and go for one of the stone grill dishes hoping that since the owners are Korean those dishes would be fine. I got the beef bulgogi stone grill dish and it cost exactly $10. They also served me complimentary tea and a side dish of daikon kimchi. The tea pot was pretty big and I tend to drink a lot of liquids when I’m eating so that was nice. I’m not a fan of kimchi, but this was alright. There was a slight bit of heat and it wasn’t too tart. I’m just very picky about any foods that have a tartness or a tang. The meal itself wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t outstanding. Just normal Korean BBQ beef with cabbage and carrots. I’ve had better. The rice got nice and crispy underneath, but unlike bibimbap they didn’t seem to have put in sesame oil to give the crunchy rice some extra flavour. You definitely need to eat the meat and the rice together as towards the end of my meal it got quite salty. Service was quiet, but attentive. I dropped my spoon and was handed another one before I even had to ask. Overall, I think for the price I paid I got a decent meal of good value. I’d like to try another stone grill dish, but for now I’ll steer clear of the other stuff. dragonfiring.wordpress.com
NOT RECOMMENED. Food is just ok. over-priced. the worst thing was the waiter. he is not even an waiter. I dont know his name but he is pretty big size korean guy with glasses. and he looks ALWAYS MAD. no smile and he sometimes stinks too. always need to wait to be served a long time. I dont know why he is ONLY ONE server there. I really dont understand. he is not even good at english too. ASKING certain ingredient out is not accepted. I have been there only few times and whenever i ask some ingredient out, he just ignored. it pissed me off. I dont really post any review about restaurant. but I really pissed off their service. and asking me the tips?????? what the hell..
Cute little place. Not the best location but their pork cutlet and bento boxes are really good. I would definetly go back
Flood life. Came here Friday, Sat, and Sunday morning during the flood days and the soju and reasonably priced food helped us cope. The hot plates were fantastic, but avoid the gyoza, bento box, and especially the sushi. Stick to what they do well (hot plates) and you’ll leave satisfied.
