I really like the atmosphere of this place. It is a great place to meet friends after work, or on the weekend. I used to go here regularly many years ago, and upon moving back into the area, I have rediscover it. It does not seem to have changed since I left (a good thing in this case).The food is good as well. Can’t say that I always eat when I am here, but whenever I have eaten, it has been good.
This is a traditional English pub with all kinds of cool nooks and crannies! Very cozy pub to grab a pint at and although it’s a bit grungy, I hope this place never changes!
Great neighborhood English pub with a quirky layout that reflects being in an historical building. This is a regular stop for me when I’m in Calgary on business and staying in the Kensington neighborhood.
Great place.They have a good garden salad, displayed nicely, and very good staff. There is a bartender who works there that is out of this world. You can come in for just a pint of beer and feel completely welcomed
Very cool old neighborhood pub. The food and service have always been good.The atmosphere is that of an old english style pub. Because of it’s excellent location we always find it a great place to stop and take a break I recommend the root top patio . Fries are really good.
Great atmosphere! The had a descent assortment of draft beer and the food was reasonably priced. My date got the Shepard’s pie and it was really good; normally I don’t eat Shepard’s pie but it was so good I almost stole it from her.
My favorite. Great English style pub in the heart of Kensington.. lovely
