This is a cute, small, and cozy, family owned restaurant that serves both Korean and Japanese dishes. I really love their Tokpoki and self made riceballs. The spicy seafood nagasaki udon is also really good and you can order a super spicy version as a challenge dish.

I really love the spicy nagasaki udon in here. There were two kinds of nagasaki udons, the regular one and the spicy one. I actually tried both of them, and for me the spicy one was better. It was not that spicy, but has a little bit of spicy flavour in it and the soup has really deep seafood taste in it. I highly recommand the spicy nagasaki udon which is the best in calgary:)

A new sushi place across from the midtown Co-op on 11th ave. Cute decor and drawings on the walls, you can tell the owner tried to make the spot original and unique. Menu covers takoyaki, beef tataki, some unique rolls, nigiri sushi, udon and korean rice bowls. They also have lunch bento boxes and offer sushi/sashimi platters to go. House made real wasabi was also a bonus. Liked that the soy sauce was brought out and not just sitting on the table collecting dust which was a nice touch. The rolls I ordered were all half rolls to try and the nice thing was that the tempura shrimp in the rolls was actually crunchy. This gave it a really nice texture compared to other places. Nice presentation. Rolls can fall apart easily, but were delicious. Thick cut sashimi and beautiful presentation on the nigiri sushi. Chicken rice bowl was tasty and I liked the assortment of veggies provided.

Here is a hidden gem worth a try. From the outside of the restaurant it doesn’t look different than any other place but when I walked in I was surpised. The interior decor reminds me of one of many restaurants I visited in Asia. It definitely feels warm and fuzzy once you walk in. The menu itself has 5 – 6 page list of items filled with choices for rolls, half order rolls, sashimi and nigri sushi. I ordered the sashimi and was not disappointed with thick cuts. The rolls were also creative and had a nice crunch in the center. They offered us fresh wasabi which you don’t normally see offered by other sushi restaurants. I would recommend giving these guys a try.

Nice, small and modern sushi place. Sushi rolls were AMAZING! Best in town I’d say. Rolls are normally pretty expensive, but the rolls here are fairly large in size compared to most sushi restaurants and are very filling! Definitely worth trying out! The sushi rice bowl we had came in a cute bamboo bowl, seemed a little cheap on the fish. They also offer REAL wasabi here, which is pretty interesting since I haven’t come across any sushi place in Calgary that does it. You can definitely tell the difference compared to that wasabi paste most places use. Might not get the ricebowl but I’ll definitely be back for more rolls! Also will want to try their lunch bento since they seem like some pretty good deals.

Walked in without a lot of expectation. They’re new in the neighbourhood. This location had a start-stop with another Japanese restaurant that advertised coming soon but never opened. The space was clean and bright and the service was very kind. The food was quite nice as well. I had some nigiri sushi and Takoyaki. They have a fairly standard menu of sushi/sashimi, rolls and bowls with a few menu items with a twist. The dish you use for soy sauce is pretty to look at and presents well but shallow so if you fill it up too high (which doesn’t take much) it splashes around and spills over the side a bit. Minor detail. The highlight, by far, was the fresh wasabi.Wow (Ka-pow!).If you are any kind of a wasabi nut, you gotta come here. I’ll definitely be back for another hit of that.
