We visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch. Food was good but expensive. When the bill arrived, it was higher than expected. When we compared our bill against the menu, we were overcharged by the till. Our server told us she didnt know how to refund the difference and offered us nothing to resolve the issue. We left our number and I emailed the manager. No response from the manager other than a post on another site saying that we didnt accept what the server offered. She offered nothing. All we wanted was a refund of the overcharge. Check your bill against the menu prices!

As a resident of Kensington I want to like this place, I really do. I have tried it many times, but just cannot got behind it. This restaurant is located right in the heart of Kensington. Very hip cool and modern on the inside and the vibe seems to fit Kensington perfectly. They have lots of TVs and This is a popular spot to watch Flames games and other sporting events. They have done a good job placing the TVs strategically such that you get a good view of the game wherever you are seated, but the TVs do not overpower the experience if you are not there to watch sports. Unfortunately, every time I have been here the food has been ho hum, and the service poor (read some of the other reviewers comments for specific examples). So much wasted potential here!

Above average pub fare that was decently tasty, but not spectacular. The restaurant itself is very lively and inviting, but I felt like it lacked any kind of individual charm. My friend decided on the Midtown Burger ($15) and I tried the Midtown Beef Dip ($18). Both of our dishes arrived pretty quickly (our server was very friendly and attentive considering how busy it was) and portions were fairly generous. I was pleasantly surprised by the burger: juicy patty on a nicely toasted brioche bun with lots of fresh toppings. My beef dip had really good flavour, but unfortunately the bun was very, very dry and the filling was a little stingy. The fries were nicely crisp. I definitely wouldn’t make a specific trip given the abundance of (better) restaurants in Kensington, but if someone suggested Midtown I’d be happy to try it again.
