Ugh!!!! Big long hair embedded in meal. Waitress should have handled better at the time when informed by simply replacing the meal. She provided a whole $3.25 discount off $57 bill. No desire to go back. I’m grossed out. Regrets leaving any tip. Is there a waitress/hair in food protocol?
Good place to grab a drink and pub food. Good burgers, sandwiches, etc. The chicken burger is delicious. In the summer time the patio is lovely. The bar itself is pretty small inside. Seating doubles when they can open the patio. Service is great.
I’ve only been here twice. The patio yesterday was great. They obviously have a following because it was packed at 3pm on a Saturday when people should be outside in the nice weather not playing trivia lol. The service was solid and friendly. They should carry more local beer but the fish and chips was great. Two pieces with a good amount of fries for $14. And you could pick one cod and one salmon which is nice too. I’ll go back!
Service was pretty poor for a perfect patio day in April, it was busy and they only had one girl scheduled for inside/outside at lunch. Food wasn’t great, definitely just typical pub food. Was excited to try their pickle soup after hearing great things but really wouldn’t get it again. Patio is pretty nice and they have a good variety of drinks. Probably would go back just for the patio/drinks.
Headed here late on a Saturday night- we found a table easily and had some spicy Caesars and nachos, both excellent. The server was prompt and friendly. I’ve been here a couple times – definitely a new favourite. Thanks!
Oak Tree is a hidden gem in Kensington…nice patio and interesting events calendar. It’s a great place to hang out with some friends and have a few beverages.I find some of their servers a bit aloof, maybe they think they are cool.They have great nachos, deep fried pickles, burgers/sandwiches and a large beer selection.
my fav Pub is Kensington.. quaint and filled with FUN!!! the patio is amazing too might be the best one in the area.. sun all day long!!! check this out for a casual drink
