After walking by Oolong countless times, I finally decided to stop in. It’s a very cool spot: cosy tables, folk playing softly in the background, and lots of original art on the sunny walls. Most of the tea house is occupied by the massive choose-your-own-adventure tea wall: after smelling your way through the seemingly hundreds of different teas they have on hand, you choose which blend you’d like and how you’d like it prepared (iced, latte, or simply brewed). I decided to try the Blueberry Blitz rooibos as a small iced tea ($4.50). The staff were a little scattered but super friendly, and my tea arrived quickly. The tea itself had a really nice flavour (a perfect melding of subtly sweet rooibos, blueberries, and corn flowers), however I would have liked it if it was slightly sweeter. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their teas!
