Tenshi Sushi’s menu has a wide variety of sushi, maki, and more to choose from. Each tine I’ve been there I’ve had delicious well made sushi and maki, in a nice relaxing atmosphere. A great place to eat a good lunch
Used to came here, long word short. The unagi don; the fish was fishy and the texture is hard. Try to avoid unagi related dishes!! Probably change a new owner or chief?!It is nice that the server take off the don from the bill. And give us 20% off.
I wasn’t terribly impressed when I first walked in. This really is a hole in the wall place. My husband and I ordered the gyoza, takoyaki, California roll, inari hokkigai and crab nigiri, and a special Maki roll with scallop, tempura prawn and avacado. It was all delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. We’ll absolutely be back.

Dined at Tenshi for the first time early Monday evening and left with a full stomach and full intentions of returning for sushi very, very soon. Prices are outstanding for the quality. Bill for 2 was about $45 including GST + tip for 3 rolls, soup and 6 sashimi pieces. We were brought a 4th roll accidentally and when I informed our server, she said don’t worry about it. Score!
My wife and I have enjoyed Tenshi for years. The service can be atrocious and the atmosphere is subpar, but the quality of the sushi and the cheap prices made it the best value in the city. After a few encounters with unpleasant servers, we started ordering takeout – a great choice. We visited last night and ordered dragon roll and spicy tuna roll among others. The dragon roll was pitiful – the eel was thinly sliced and didn’t even cover the top of the roll. One of the pieces didn’t have any eel at all, which would make it an avocado roll. We started looking at things closer and it was obvious something had changed. The avocado was sliced thinner, as was the tuna on the spicy tuna roll, and the presentation was poorer. We complained to the server and she spoke to the chef. We were told that if we wanted more eel, we should have ordered the Kensington role. My wife replied that we order the dish all the time and it was never like that before. It was no use. We continued criticizing the other rolls and the server came back to ask if everything was ok. My wife asked if the chef had changed and the server told us he had recently retired. It all made sense. Now that the quality has dropped so dramatically, all that you are left with is inept servers and a chef that doesn’t care. We won’t be going back.
