Being downtown , there isn’t a lot around for decent Vietnamese food. TOA is a good choice if you’re looking for a place in the area. They get very very busy at lunch so make sure you make a reservation. Don’t expect great service, and don’t ask to split your bill if you’re in a group unless you want to get yelled at. I always stick for the one size pho dac biet for $11.99. The portion won’t be like pho portions you might get on 17 Ave but it’s definitely enough for lunch. I will revisit here on our lunch breaks. If I’m craving pho for dinner or weekends, there are definitely a lot of other choices if you’re not downtown.

We have been ordering large group orders from TOA for a few years and we love it!! The food is fresh and flavourful and the service is quick. The restaurant is run by avery nicefamily and itsgreat to support a family run business. We have tried ordering from other Vietnamese places but this is the only place we go to now. Great food!

Food is ok, but the service is really poor. Some servers are quite rude and customer service is not their priority. I’ve had many co-workers complain that servers are argumentative when they get the orders wrong. The main reason we go is because of its close location, but after so many bad experiences with them, my co-workers and I have decided not to dine there anymore. It’s not worth the grief. There are way nicer places to spend my time and money.

This restaurant does make by far none some of the best Vietnamese in Calgary. That being said they are trying to push through as many people as possible and have let their product and service slide because of it. If you order for take out or dine in a commonly ordered item like Satay Beef on Rice vermicelli (example) it will be very cold as I think they prep them ahead of time to turn over more tables. The only way to get good hot food is to get soup or less ordered item. The service varies from a few awesome kind servers/host to a few mean ones which can be unpleasant as they try and rush you out. I used to go once a week and now go once a month due to it being cold so often.

Came here for a viet sub. I wasn’t asked what toppings I wanted with it, so I was a little skeptical from the start. The sub wasn’t cut in half, so it made it a little challenging to eat it. Also not being able to choose my toppings forced me to pick things out of the sub with my fingers. However, the bread was crisp and had just the right amount of chew to it without being too chewy. and not too chewy. Other than that, the onions looked different from other subs I’ve had around, and this sub had lettuce, another differentiation I found. Overall a good sub, but I have had better.

Best Vietnamese in Calgary. I read a few bad reviews on this place and feel compelled to write my own. I went here with my co-workers yesterday and had fantastic service, food was excellent as well! I mean the service was second to none – filled up our waters frequently, table checked twice, and gave us 2 Moneris machines when paying separately. I will pay the extra $3 for the Vietnamese for this quality!

No thanks.. Won’t be back. Cramped, loud, and expensive for what you get.
