After my experience it was clear that this chef doesn’t take allergies seriously at all, and decided to tell me what I should react to and what I won’t. Had I not been very specific about what I was looking to avoid he would have sold it to me anyway- In fact, he tried but another staff member called him out on it. Heard him talk down about me as I left the truck after I’d been nothing but polite. It’s not a preference, it’s an allergy. Take it seriously before you hurt somebody. Oh- and forgot to mention that they claim they make everything fresh. They don’t make all their menu items like the website makes it sound.
Best Food Truck in Calgary! Easily the best burger I’ve had in the city. Not pretentious, or filled with wacky ingredients. The basics, with style. Try it if you see them! Totally worth it!
The truck looks cool, the burgers taste better than the truck looks! Their take on a grilled cheese is awesome! Pretzel bun, tomatoes and crispy cheese that encompasses the bun is miraculous! I encourage everyone to try their food!
Awesome burgers and fries. Unbeatable. Juicy, crunchy, tangy, salty, hot, cold, perfect. I had the breakfast burger at Millarville, it was worth the drive.
Tried this new Calgary Food truck this summer and was very disappointed, thin dry patty, way too much cheese versus meat, andsloppy sauces which I found were just there to try to mask tastes. If you have a great burger you don’t need all the other crap masking flavors, sorry was a miss for me would not try again way better burgerplaces in Calgary. Staff was not friendly either
Might be one of my favourite burgers right now. On paper, the Bacon Bandit Burger made of ground pork sirloin and bacon slab patties sounds amazing. In execution, they don’t disappoint. The Bacon Bandit actually has an interesting palate journey. First few bites, you think you can get into it, but not blown away. The pretzel bun is a nice touch. It doesn’t really amaze, but halfway through after I’ve gotten used to the salty flavours and the juicy meat, I begin to think it’s a pretty damn good burger. Even with one patty, you don’t think much of it, but after finishing it, I found the flavours and textures quite satisfying at the end. And at an $8.5 to $10 price point, it’s not a difficult decision for me to return to Burger Bandit when it’s in the area.
I got their grilled cheese and OMG that was heaven in a pretzel bun!! It was a good size and for $8 a good steal. So delicious omm nom nom.
