Ordered one meal and it cost about 17 bucks. I ended up ordering the California Burger with skinny fries and a side of gravy with a pop.The burger itself was pretty good and quite large. Large enough to cut in half and share with me lady. The burger was good and juicy and the guacamole was very fresh. The gravy was also quite good. Fries definitely needed some loving.Going back to what I didn’t like about the place was just the price. I remember there being a huge fat around the knees when this place just opened and no I haven’t tried it so many years later it’s decent but not amazing.The old school vintage Diner feel was very obvious in the environment and the staff was super nice and helpful.Willing to try more on the menu if my pockets or wallet would allow.
Sadly they are slipping. This used to big a favourite. But the price has gone up and the care to details has gone down. When they made an error on my order they didn’t redo the burger, they took it apart and rebuilt it using the now contaminated ingredients. Bad form guys. If this were an allergy issue instead of a preference issue, it could have been a deadly decision. Now I no-longer trust this kitchen for other matters including safe food. Sadly I will not be back. This used to be so good too.
I really wanted to enjoy a Fat burger. After convincing myself that it was worth paying twice the price if a regular burger, the always awkward request for a tip, and a lengthy wait, the burger arrived with a huge long hair sticking out of it. I gave it back and had to leave. If you’re going to charge a premium you’d better make it worth it.
I really like the burgers here. This time we tried the steak sandwiches. The cut and cook was really nice- no gross bits! We both enjoyed our food. One thing if I had to find something to complain about would be that the picture showed a Caesar salad. We discussed in front of the employee that it would be fine as long as it wasn’t garden. Garden is what we received- which is more healthy yes but not within the dietary restrictions of both diners. My fries were good. And the lemonade is a nice alternative to soda.
Pretty darn good, but expensive.We went here on the weekend and it was fairly busy and we were pretty satisfied.Our meal was: Kingburger Supreme, Hawaiian burger, poutine, Mint oreo shake.The shake was absolutely delicious, the consistency, constant flavor, it was just really good. Both burgers were as expected, fairly flavorful but kind of messy. The poutine was average but the thin fries are far superior to their fat fries.The restaurant was busy, clean and service was very good and friendly. We were generally happy with our entire visit. We will be going back for sure.
Stopped in here after shopping at Ikea. It’s a pretty cute little place. Burgers were delicious, but it was the fries that got my attention. Not often do you get perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle fries. Great place for a quick bite after all your shopping!
A little pricy but I like it. The burgers are big and yummy, what’s not to love?
