The only thing keeping this bar afloat is because it’s beside a hotel and must be where people go when the Joey’s across the road is full. The service was okay, but the food itself was below mediocre. Some of the mussels had sand in them, and I had more than a couple that were extremely mushy that I almost lost my appetite. My boyfriend’s steak came out as if it had been under a lamp for quite some time because it was barely warm and overcooked, and the asparagus was still hard. My chicken and waffles came out five minutes later. The fried chicken itself was soggy, and the waffle was overdone on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Overall it’s clear that their kitchen staff have lost their drive to make good food, but at least the waitress was efficient and checked up on us regularly.
