I stopped here after working out at the Y. All I wanted was something quick. I ordered the Mushroom Soup. I was actually having second thoughts about the soup. I found it excellent and inexpensive. The staff were very friendly. Great little place. There looks like healthy choices on the Menu.
Misleading. 5 dollars for a grilled cheese I tossed into the trash after my son started rolling the cheese and refused to eat it. They used processed cheese and margarine after I specifically asked for butterwaste of money and the name leads you to think it’s a healthy option
Sweet Owner!. What I like about small places like this, is that you really get to know the people working there, like the owners and they get to know you, too. Thats what its like at Grandmas Gardem, one of the kiosks nestled in the food court at Eau Claire Market. It has that small town feel because as soon as you approach the counter the owner not only remembers you, but she knows what youll be ordering!I had the opportunity to meet the owner one weekend when my family wanted to have a quick, but good, breakfast together. At the time we arrived, there was only one woman behind the counter at Grandmas Garden whose face lit up as soon as she saw our family approaching. She already knew that my family was having the breakfast special: Two eggs, bacon and toast with tea or coffee ($6.45). I decided to try the Ham and Egg Sandwich ($4.75) instead. My brother mentioned to her that I did prefer bacon over ham and with a quick no problem the meat had been switched.I later found out that her sons work there as well making this a family run business. The place was friendly and clean, and the food was efficiently, yet caringly put together. Our meals appeared and we took them to some seats near by and began to devour our delicious smelling breakfast. They were hot and fresh, and made exactly to our liking. I know there are other breakfast spots who serve fancier meals, but for the quality and friendliness at Grandmas Garden, this is a spot thats hard to beat! It really makes my day when Im remembered and appreciated, something that you dont always get at restaurants anymore.I would recommend this location to anyone who likes to be recognized as a regular, appreciated as a customer, and enjoys to have a bit of TLC served up with every meal!
It’s ok for a quick snack.
