Very fresh sushi, and the portions were good. I appreciate how affordable the seafood was, without sacrificing quality. The nigiri was also very nice, compared to other local sushi shops. Well done. 🙂
This is a hole in the wall sushi restaurant on south side close to South Common.I was searching for a new sushi place in South side and found this one.If I wasn’t searching for this one I would never knew this exist. You won’t even see it on the street even though I pass in front of them quite often. Food : 4Service : 5I like Mikado better, but I do not think they are on the same judgement scale.Mikado is more high end restaurant, rather Kami is quick bite to go restaurant.Note: They do not have hot kitchen, so no terriyaki or tonkatsu. If you are looking for a quiet, quick bite I recommend this place. However, if you are looking for proper Japanese Cuisine, go to Mikado
Stopped here for a little snack, was getting hangry but needed to save room for dinner so just ordered one roll. Literally the best dynamite roll I have ever had. That is all. Will return again to eat all the things!
I have no complaint about 2/3 of my sushi, however, spicy tuna rolls are my favorite and my order today has the least amount of tuna included in a roll that I’ve ever had. Changed the taste completely. All you can taste is spicy. I hope Chef Don addresses this.
Read good reviews and tried it. The presentation is not nice but the taste is really good!Pleasantly surprised. Spent around $50 and tried a few dishes and they tasted different and was unique in flavor. I liked the sea of fire special and the eel. Give it a try!
A small joint focusing on take out, it is a tiny place with extremely delicious food. I was delighted to watch the owner making the rolls haul out a torch to finish off the BBQ eel! Highly recommended.
Pretty good place. I ordered takeout on a Saturday night. Spicy tuna rolls with a side of spicy mayo sauce (that the chef kindly threw in for free) for under $8. My order was ready when the gentleman on the phone said it would be and he was pleasant in person. The rolls were delicious. My only con would be that the rolls are a bit small but that seems to be typical of most sushi places in Edmonton. 4.5/5 stars!
