Knead is a fantastic pizza place in the Calgary Farmers Market food court that serves unique pies and some interesting twists on some old favourites. Definitely one of my go to places at this market.You can tell the guys that run this place truly care about their product and customers. They are always willing to give out samples…and for good reason because as soon as you get a taste you will definitely want a slice. The crust isn’t thin but not super thick either with a nice flavour and chew to it. The Aloha is a great choice for the Hawaiian lovers, with pancetta, maple pineapple and gruyere. If you want breakfast with your pizza they got a pie for that. My personal favourite is the Fungi offering a mix of mushrooms, topped with arugula and rich truffle oil. The weekend feature is always something unique and fresh. Thats what keeps you wanting to come back, the creativity….and great pizza.
A great place to grab lunch when you’re at the Farmer’s Market. Everything I’ve tried has tasted consistently fresh and delicious. My favourites are probably the Aloha (essentially an elevated Hawaiian, with gruyere, maple butter pineapple, and pancetta) and the Veggie (goat cheese, olives, artichokes) – both are really, really good. Incredible pizza with super cool staff – what more could you ask for?
