J. Wabick. Far and away our favourite deli in Calgary. None of the meat, or bacon are injected with water, so the bacon is very dry when you lay it in the pan. The meats are lean and in-home smoked and are soooo good. The sausages are wonderful. We have never had a bad batch of anything from these folks. Don’t wait til the last minute at holidays as the wait will be longer, although, they always have plenty of people behind the counter to serve you. If you speak Polish, you will have a chance to use it, but if not, all the servers speak English. Time here is well spent and delicious.

The hams are superb and have not been injected with water like Safeway does.I carry Polcan business cards in my wallet and recommend this place to everyone.
There are so many things I love about Polcan, where do I start? Everything is made fresh and on location, the meat products are made without preservatives or additives, they import a huge variety of other Polish products… The list goes on! My husband and I always stock up before heading home to Saskatchewan… The prices are very reasonable too, I find it cheaper to buy their amazing deli meats than the processed junk you find at your local grocery store!!!
Homemade Sausages. I love this place. The deli is fully stocked of homemade polish sausages of all types. All the ladies are friendly and helpful and efficient. the place smells great and the ready to eat food for eating in is always great too.
Not so good. I live just down the street from Polcan and am pretty open-minded about food. I figured I would try it out…Not being sure what to order I told the woman at the counter this and to suggest what she thought was their best food…Everything tasted the same… I found that a lot of the potato products tasted almost sour, bland, and greasy… I didn’t finish my meal…Could be a one off situation, but still did not enjoy the food at all.
Oh my god, amazing lunch meal, Perogies are perfectly done, lots of fried onions along side, so tasty, fills you up to the max! Best deli in Calgary, not to mention their actual meats they sell. Non fatty strait protein!
