Took our little guy there for his birthday becaus4e the pizza is very good. The rest of the food was just terrible. Clam chowder soup was just bad. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all . Not even to my worst enemy. That’s saying a lot.
I went in for lunch and ordered Chicken Parmigiana. It was just gross! It was chicken topped with ham topped with cheese then topped with beef ( not kidding) beef gravy topped with mushrooms. How many animals can you get on one plate? Really beef gravy on cheese on chicken? I didnt eat it, told them it was gross and paid for it. I thought they should have offered me another dish or not charged me but instead they offered a doggy bag. If it is gross in the restaurant how would it be any better as take out? I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!
Stumbled upon this place in this strip mall Amazing pizza, very good service. Will definitely come back again for one of the best pizza in Calgary. Also have amazing lasagna and great neighbourhood bar to have some pints!
I was in Ikea and afterwards I wanted some good food. I haven’t eaten many places in this area and after checking online I decided on Starlite. I ordered the lasagna and my girlfriend ordered seafood canelloni and we got cheese toast to start. I love cheese toast, but I often stray away due to it being overpriced. It was cheaper here than most places and let me tell you, though I have never used drugs that cheese toast was addictive like I would assume drugs were. The lasagna was hearty and had the subtle comforting flavor you would expect from a lasagna. My girlfriend loved the seafood cannelloni. Overall the restaurant was great and exceeded my expectations. I will return again if I am in the area.
Wow this place has the second best pizza in town! The beer is ice cold and the service is great! This is a vlt pub. Don’t expect any hot young servers or bartenders. If your under 40 years of age this is good for take out and a beer while you wait
We were in the area and looked to see high rated restaurants and since this was pretty high we decided to give it a try. When we walked in we thought, uh oh..its one of those older neighbour hood places that smells like cigarettes. But since we were there decided to stay. The waitress was great, she came to the table straight away and was always there if our drinks were low. I ordered the Chicken Parm with Fettuccini and my hubby the Greek Pizza with Cheese toast to share. The cheese toast came out very quickly but it was broiled far too long and the cheese was just a hard crust. Then came out meals. The chicken parm and Fettuccini was a large portion on a very small plate so food overlapped which isn’t ideal. The Chicken was swimming in cheese…now don’t get me wrong I LOVE cheese…but this was a bit much. It also tasted like salty frozen chicken and a bit of charcoal. Ok…moving on to the Fettuccini…I honestly have made better stuff from a jar. No flavor what so ever…salt was a must and I never add salt to anything. The Greek Pizza was very good however, the crust was thick and crisp and the toppings tasted fresh. The sauce was in house made and very good as well. Overall we wouldn’t return but the prices are decent and perhaps if you stick to the pizza it would be a good place to stop in.
Was okay however when I order an artichoke and crab appetizer for $8.95 and it ends up being loaded with fake crab, I get super annoyed. I can’t stand fake crab. This was a waste of money. Would’ve been tasty had they used real crab like the menu suggested, as there was no mention of pollock in the description. I think that is misleading.I know their pizza is good, and the zucchini appetizer is good, and my dining companion said her salmon was really good. Will be back, just not for artichokes 🙁
