Ive got nothing bad to say about this buffet. Huge variety and food was pretty good. Sushi and sashimis arent even the main attraction – there are Chinese foods, seafood, deep fried bar and a large dessert section. Salad bar is lacking – not much variety. Service was excellent. Dont love that plates are below the food trays (risky game) but not a deal breaker. Would go back. Just a buffet.
This buffet is very clean and well- maintained. I found that there is a decent section for sushi and an abundance of other hot foods. The seafood is fresh here and definitely a must if you do pay a visit here.
First time coming here and the place looks very modern. The buffet offers a variety of different foods, a tempura section, a Chinese food section, sushi and sashimi section, some other fried foods, soups, and a small dessert area. There is also oysters and crab legs. The highlight of my dinner was the salmon sashimi, it was melt in your mouth! I have been to many other all you can eat sushi places, and this place was nice to try but I wouldn’t drive all the way out of my way to come again.
Loved this buffet. I’m personally the biggest fan of sushi, so I only got sushi, and can’t say anything about the other types of food they offer, but I can say there was so much there, so much variety. Definitely getting your moneys worth. All my sushi was quite lovely, buffet style for sushi is great, since sushi rolls can get super expensive in most restaurants and you can’t afford to try all different kinds. I’d definitely recommend it when you want your fill of sushi. Restaurant was clean, large and comfortable.I thought the price was definitely reasonable for all you can eat and the variety they provide. I will be coming back, for sure!
The worst food ever. Both quality and service was terrible. The food did not look appealing at all and also was not fresh. After eating some of the sashimi and surf clams, noticed that something was stuck in my throat and couldnt even get it out (see attached photo). Will never go back and would never recommend to anyone. The plates were not properly cleaned. 99% of them were still dirty. No wonder they are only rated 2/5. Avoid.
The decor is really nice in here. Food selection is also pretty good and the buffet area is very clean and orderly. Food tasted pretty good, but my one complaint is that they don’t have very much sushi selection for a place that advertises itself as an all you can eat sushi place.
After looking at some of the reviews that came before, I was hesitant on deciding to come. Being Christmas and coming thru Calgary on our home, my family wanted something filling, and the request were all over the place. We all decided to give this buffet a chance, as we wouldn’t be back down for at least half a year or more, being non native to Calgary. So here is what we found. We came for a lunch buffet, and the selection was extensive. Most of the hot food was coming out fresh at frequent intervals. Restaurant itself was moderately busy with small families. They had 4 different types of maki, 3 sushi and 4 different rolls, which impressed me for a buffet that doesn’t specialize in just sushi. Taste wise it was ok. Fish was fresh and sauces were flavourful.Again comparing it to other buffets. We were not coming into this restaurant expecting food tasting like a gourmet sushi house or authentic Chinese restaurant.Heading over to the Chinese section, only the teriyaki wonton and chicken ball were a little dry. Short rib were moist, fresh off the grill and very flavourful. The shrimp tampura, scallops and crab were moist and not over cooked which was a nice change. The general Tao chicken was very saucy with a nice spice, and stir fried noodles had a good flavour. All the hot food was hot, not cold, and considering we came at the tail end of lunch rush, I was expecting some of it to be a little cold. We avoided most of the cakes as they were not covered and looked a little dry, but cream puffs, macaroons, and cheesecake are always fair game. The chocolate fountain was a nice touch to. Our bill at the end of day would have been a cool $63 plus tax, but with a 20% discount came to $55 for 3 adults. Overall the restaurant met and exceeded my expectations of a buffet. Would I come out of my way to come here to eat? No. Would I come here if I was in town? Absolutely. I recommend this buffet if your hungry and want a nice selection and variety of food.
