Went back with a friend for lunch. we had wings to begin, over cooked dry and left after one each. His steak was ordered medium, came out medium rare, they took it back and honestly looked like they just pieced it back together, no further change in color. I had the veal sandwich, it was alright but nothing to write home about. Patio is nice, go for some drinksThe staff were attentive but the kitchen staff could have been more so.

Went for dinner with my girlfriends. An odd choice for me since I’m a vegetarian, but usually any restaurant has something for me. I had to request a separate menu for their very limited plant based options. The only choice, a veggie burger. WORST veggie burger in the city. Obviously processed, frozen, and super greasy. I would advise against dinning with a vegetarian at this restaurant… they just don’t cook with care beyond their meat menu… and what does that say? Waitress was not overly helpful or nice either.

I saw an add for chop on my phone and it reminded me of the horrible dinning experience I had before going to the movies. I remember how ripped off I felt. It ruined my night but I never wrote a review, actually I’ve never written a review before but such injustice must not be forgotten. We had bone in chicken as an entree it was just warm and bland along with all the vedge it was served with. Loveless. Careless. We had some sort of onion ring tower it was soggy and disgusting. First time I ever tried soggy onion rings. All said and done spent 200 for the two of us with a tip. It’s probably the most ripped off I ever felt that every time I go to Scotiabank theatre and see that chop sign it upsets me.

Excellent place. All our dishes were perfectly cooked and delicious. The cheese cake is well done. Great ambience and service. I would definitely come back again.

Boyfriend’s parents took us here for dinner one night, which was very nice of them as this place is quite pricey I found. The wait staff were helpful and attentive to any needs/questions we might have.We sat on the main floor which has a nice layout and the decor is modern. The 4 of us ordered our dishes (I got the steak salad without egg as I am not a fan). The waiter promptly took our order and now I’m not sure if the kitchen was backed up (it didn’t appear busy) or if our waiter forgot to put our order through the system but it took the greater half of a century (approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour) for our food to finally come out and at that point, no matter how good your food might be, the experience isn’t as good as if it came out in a timely fashion. We have not been back and we probably won’t be. There are FAR better steakhouses in this city that are more deserving of your money and that will serve you a better steak for a lower price.

Compared to the price, the quality of food was not good enough. Had mushroom vegetarian ravioli $21 , it was just ‘okay’. Service was great though. Had also dessert at 9$, chocolate covered souffle cake. Not very impressive…

went for a 21st Birthday last night, have been to this location about 4 times and not yet have I been impressed. It’s loud, pretentious. 4 different steaks…not one of them was worthy. baked potatoes that were still slightly hard, I had the sirloin Oscar shrimp still had some shell on the tail.. ummm gross. Not one of the 4 steaks were tender, cooked beautifully but there were all grisly fatty. Cheese toast was like microwaved bread nothing crispy about it just doughy cheesy bread. Steak bites.. ugh. Why do they push these? They are terrible. I didn’t even want to stay for dessert, just give me the damn bill so we can get out of there. We did have a cozy setting but it required a special request and a phone call from the restaurant asking why I didn’t want a booth. Umm I am short and chubby my legs dangle and booths aren’t comfortable when you have some fat. Not embarrassing at all, it’s not like they needed me to tell them I was a fat girl that can’t sit in a booth. Just do it. I made the reservation 2 weeks ago. We go back when we run out of places we would like to go, 4 times is my limit. Not one winning meal yet. I give up. Don’t go to a chain and expect a good steak. Lesson finally learned. I would rather eat in a dump with a good steak than somewhere that is fancy on the inside but provides a crappy meal. Vero Moderne… see you soon. Steak and Fites Wednesday is to die for. If they had been open it’s my go to place for amazing food and amazing service.
