We popped in looking for good pub food and encountered nasty, over-cooked, deep fried nonsense. At least the beer was cold… clearly a watering hole, not a good spot to eat.
Really pathetic when the bartender/waitress Michelle is so plowed she can’t stand up. Great food tho and the kareoke is great. If you want a cheap pub with no frills it’s good.
Can’t hate the service!. There is none. Guess you have to be a regular or part of the karaoke crowd to get any attention. You can only wait so long to get you food (which was forgot to be put in to the cook), your table cleared or your bill. Sure was disappointing.
No internet. So what, I go with my laptop and think that I am going to get a little something doneI say do you have the password for the wifi and she says it doesnt work but shaw has an open one near byOf course I had already tried that and off she went to eat her lunch. I finally asked for my billI said when a guy comes in with a laptop and cant get on the internet then he needs the lounges password. If she says it never works on her phone then fine, give me the password anywayI guess people dont expect you to really want the password when it pops up with the pub name and asked for it. Hurray!. After being let down time and time again at governer’s pub my group has decieded to try out wing night at stonegate, def a different crowd in there but its all good! service is friendly and the wings are good!This is where we will go for the forseeable future.

YEEEEUP!!!. The stonegate inn is the home of Calgary’s finest Karaoke performances,with awesome host Darcy, and some fantastic food. I recomend going there on a Friday or Saturday to check it out.
