Haveli sweets never disappoints me. I have tried most all of the Indian restaurants around the Calgary area, but I still keep only coming back to Haveli – their delicious food is always consistently the best, and the service bends over backwards
They have a great selection of dishes and awesome assortment of indian sweets, and the price is very reasonable too! it has a very homey atmosphere and the staff if friendly!
I went to this restaurant today to get some lunch for me and my boyfriend. I ordered a Butter Chicken and Paneer plate to go because my boyfriend was in the car with my baby and dogs, and we planned on eating in the park. When we got to the park we opened the plate to eat and noticed they did not give us rice and became upset because we were very hungry and occupied. We were lucky that we stopped at a dog park not too far from the restaurant and we decided to return to get our rice. This is when I experienced the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. When I ordered the butter chicken/paneer plate, the lady told me it comes on rice. However, when I confronted her about forgetting the rice she proceeded to argue with me that rice costs extra and that I did not order rice. I reassured her that I would not have ordered the dish if she did not tell me it came with rice. I would not just order sauce to eat. She continued to argue that she was right. I then asked to receive my money back and return the dish. She told me she cannot return it because I asked her to mix it with paneer. So does this mean if I would have only ordered butter chicken she would have returned it? This leads me to think that she would have poured the returned item back in to her butter chicken pot if I wouldn’t have added paneer. I asked to speak to the manager. The lady went in the back and came back alone saying there is nothing we can do. She refused to let me speak to the manager. So me and my family had to eat cold chicken in sauce. It was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had and I will not be returning. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.
My boyfriend and I ordered butter chicken and shahi paneer. They used the same curry with different proteins. Will never recommend this place or go back here. Curry was spicy with little flavour. So disappointed.
LOVE THIS PLACE. Been going there the past few months have enjoyed it a lot…never a bad experience so far staff is wonderful and kind…. also for what you get the price is right :)…. keep up the great work
Anonymous. Under New Management since February 2014. Great tasting food and enjoyable atmosphere. They also specialize in traditional East Indian Sweets.
