Wonderful Place. I love Mary’s Deli. I first found out about it when my work used them for catering and have been going there for lunches ever since. Their food is delicious and well priced, and on top of that its just a friendly atmosphere.I know the owner Thomas by name, and he always remembers me and my friends when I come in…I think that says a lot, because it is always a great feeling to be welcomed and I’ve been in many other places where the service is rude and uninviting. I urge anyone who wants a delicious, inexpensive meal to go here!
Disappointed. Not sure what has happened to Mary’s Deli. Used to go to this place 2-3 times a week for lunch. You would get a great sandwich, lots of meat and toppings, a large helping of ripple chips and delicious soup for under 10 bucks. Was my favorite lunch place. Then the ownership changed and it has went from my favorite place to a big disappointment. Visited last week and my order took for ever and there was 7 people in the restaurant. Visited again today, showed up at 11:50, they were out of the soup of the day(Mushroom) which is actually really good, but to be out of soup before lunch, and there is only 6 people in the place doesn’t make sense. So we had chicken noodle soup, which is also very good. We ate our soup and then waited, and waited and waited for a Sandwiches, and in the time we waited a guy got up and went to the till and asked for his money back because he had waited 20 minutes with no sandwich, guy at the till gave the money back and he walked out. We had to walk up and ask for our meal, and they were just sitting there on the counter. Very disappointing, 8 months ago the place would be lined up out the door, 30+ people eating there, and it would take 3 minutes to get your food. Now there is 5-7 people at lunch and it takes 3 people 20 minutes to build a Turkey sandwich, the order is wrong a lot of the time, you get half the ripple chips you used to and the service is a 2/10, and it just seems like it is unorganized chaos at all times. Bang for your buck is still great here, food is actually pretty good(soup and sandwich).It has went from a 9/10 to a 2/10 overnight. And the only reason they get those 2 points is becuase the sandwich is pretty big in comparison to other Dive lunch places, and the soup is consistently good. Too Bad, need to find a new lunch place.
Twila. I like the way I can email a request in the day before and they alway deliver on time and the food is great, expecially the Veggie Wrap! Also love the Deluxe Tray, great variety.
