Love this place! Food has always been good and nice sized portions. Servers always friendly and helpful. Little slower getting food but worth the wait.

Hanabi is the newest addition to Fort Saskatchewan’s growing restaurant scene. I may be overstating a little, But these new restaurants make it hard to justify going to the city for a meal.I’ve eaten here 3 times now. Every time I enjoy it and find something else on the menu that’s delicious. The menu is huge and can almost be a bit intimidating. The wait staffare always happy to help you with it.This could potentially be a 5000 word essay if I were todescribe everything I’ve eaten on the menu, so well skip over thatpart. The highlights I foundand believe are almost musthaves are the smoked duck Carpaccio which comes with a really tangy little mustard sauce. I realize its not really Japanese but they do it nicely. The ceviche is another that fits into that category. Its served almost as a salad with a really nice sesame ponzu dressing and is loaded with fish. The spring rolls are very good, As is the chicken kara-age.If your eating with somebody that isn’t too big into sushi these aresafe options for them. The rolls they have are also worthy of mentioning, as I have not had one I don’t like yet. The only thing I’ve eaten here that wasn’t quite up to snuff with the rest was the sushi boats. I got a couple of pieces that weren’t very good. So I would likely recommend ordering a la carte. Best roll,I’d say isthe vampire roll. There are many others that are also really goodOverall I couldn’t be happier to have a good sushi restaurant in town. As I’ve already stated 3/3 on my visits and I cant wait to go back. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Everything was perfect. No complaints. Server was very nice, food was great! Really wanted to try the tempura ice cream but it was unavailable. The server suggested tempura banana – amazing!

Very happy there is a local sushi restaurant, just what Fort Sask needed! I found the combinations interesting and tasty, service very friendly and the decor is nice. The tuna tataki was delicious and I will definitely be returning.

I just went here for lunch at 1130 am opening time. I was greeted by the sushi master and hostess and sat down at table. Very nice seating, friendly server, excellent food. It definitely beats Edo Japan for their sushi. Had spicy tuna rolls and washed it down with Sapporo beer for under 20 bucks. Not bad at all. Glad to have these guys in the fort and will definitely support them.

Food was pretty good although our takoyaki did not come out hot. Server was nice but slow, we asked for hot sauce to eat with our beef tataki which was first to come out and she brought it out half way through our meal. The menu also has some interesting food combinations that I’m not sure I want to try (strawberry milk sauce with sushi & apple wine sushi?) but also plenty of other ones that sound very yummy. They also offer pastas which is interesting, the table next to us ordered one and it looked really good but I didn’t like the smell that the restaurant would get whiffs of rather often – like sushi mixed with pasta and melted cheese. I like the smell and taste of all those things, just not together, it was slightly unappetizing actually and threw me off a bit. Overall good experience though, I would go back again.
