Been meaning to try Hanabi for some time now, unfortunately we came in on the day their dishwasher was down so everything was served on/in styrofoam dishes, which I honestly didn’t mind, unfortunate things happen. We waited 40 minutes for our sushi from the time we ordered, appetizers were served timely. When we did receive our sushi our rice was warm, which to any true sushi lover is a deal breaker. The salmon sashimi my husband ordered was okay, same goes for the tuna sashimi, tuna being okay minus the fairly warm rice. Would try again another day however for how little we ordered the bill came to $48.00. Not entirely convinced I love it but I feel like I caught them on an off day and would return
Thought I would sample the Japanese cuisine that Fort Sask has to offer so I came here on Jun 6, 2018 and arrived at 1900. Was given lots of time to look at the menu and I decided on salmon sashimi, chop chop maki, negitoro cone, dynamite roll, and curry udon. The udon came first and was followed in short time by the sushi and sashimi. Curry udon was super yummy and an interesting break from the usual soup. It had a good flavour and a nice spice level. Seafood within was ok… nothing special. Portion size on sashimi was on the skimpy side and I dont know if thats par for where I am. But compared to Calgary, it was kind of small. Dynamite roll was huge on rice and sauce. Maki and cone were ok, with both heavy on rice. Total bill including taxes was $48. A bit on the pricey side. Dont get me wrong, Im full but its mostly rice thats in my belly. The chef is Korean (if that matters). Would come here again just for the curry udon and Id skip everything else.
