Top 5 best Pho in Calgary imo. Soup had full flavour, the noodles where a bit sticky. But the beef was definitely A+ grade. I like it when they give a whole can of soda unlike other places. My friend had the bun thit nuong and said it was soso. Quick service too!
By Calgary standards this is pretty mediocre Pho, the standard Tai isn’t special and neither is the Sate.The service runs parallel.Avoid Xuan if you can, there’s much better options in the city for Pho.
The food does the job. The pho isn’t anything special but their sate is pretty tasty (reminds me of the sate at Pho Thanh) so it saves it. Service is standard for Vietnamese restaurants. Atmosphere is pretty dingy. Prices are GREAT so I keep coming back. Under $8 for small pho. Into the $8/$9 range for large and extra large.My boyfriend doesn’t love this place (he will still eat it though) and would rather pay the extra $5 dollars or so for a tastier bowl, but because I like to eat pho a couple of times a week, I like having an inexpensive option to fill the craving.
Even with an extra large though, it’s just alot of soup, not much noodles. But I like it that way. The chicken and rice, is my boyfriends favorite. The portions are little to small though, they need more rice. My family and I go here for the prices. Been at least four years since we’ve been going here. Last night however really hit home. Usually, we ignore when other get their food before is, but not this time. This time, when we came in a table before still hasn’t gotten there food. We waited for half an hour for our food. There were people that came right after us and they all got their food before us. Usually, we only have to wait 10 minutes. They always forget our water. But this time I said it three times to make sure he heard. And not to be not picky, but I’ve noticed that when it comes to Viet people, they always get their food first and fast. Any other ethnicity, they take a longer time..They even forgot our drink..
One of my fav Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary. They have this special oil that you can add into the soup and makes the broth taste amazingly delicious. Sate sauce is great too! Cheap price no complain
This is a really good place for pho. Close to a shopping mall, somethung quick and tasty after ur shopping. The extra large pho was huge. No reservation is needed. The place is big, service is fast and friendly. Love it
This is a great place to get some pho. My go to when I am in the NE. Very fast service and many seats available. This place use to only accept cash, but now I think it can accept credit cards as well.
