I have been to this restaurant several times. Was happy to see them re open after a few weeks of renovations. It’s a neighbourhood hidden gem that’s been around for ever but always keeps it fresh. Quiet room great dates and conversation.
Love their whiskey selection! Great place for drinks and snacks, or a full on dinner. We sat at the bar and I started with an Old Fashion, hubby just had scotch straight up! We ordered beef carpaccio to start, which was seasoned and seared tenderloin beef served nearly rAw. Don’t eat the pepper it’s mostly for garnish! We shared a bottle of Cuma Organic Malbec (which the bartender suggested) to pair with our entrees. Decently priced for a young South American Malbec. We shared a Weiner schnitzel between the two of us. The portion was huge, basically a mountain of German deliciousness. Would recommend to a friend
Well… I really come here for two things: the steak tartare (amazing!) and the schnitzel (sp?). Although I also have the admit the French mornet is very good. The atmosphere is nice and they occasionally have live music which is a great treat! Unfortunately, I find the service to be lacking but rest assured if you have time, settle in for some great food!
Arrived on a Saturday evening got seated had a time limit as they had many reservations. My boyfriend & I ordered the garlic shrimp & the carpaccio. The garlic shrimp had zero flavour .The carpaccio was okay, it didn’t come with any bread.Malorie our server didn’t even ask us how the food was. Malorie & her co workers were sitting at the bar eating & making there own drinks. Didn’t even come to check on us once.We got the bill right away & left cash .Not even a thank you. Will not be returning.
Beer beer beer. Probably the most underrated beer selection in the city. always something good on tap. will never violate the prime directive.
Had a great time! Food was delicious and the service was excellent definatly will come back.
Very enjoyable establishment. Probably the closest thing to an authentic gastro pub that Edmonton has. Our server was excellent, she knew the menu and the drinks and could make knowledgeable recommendations. Our food was very good. Coconut shrimp, roast chicken and Brie sandwich and roasted vegetable sandwich. A couple of nice craft beer that were very good also. The decor is great, could easily pass for a small restaurant or lounge in a more cosmopolitan city.
