Good food, nice vibes… worth a visit or a drop in for a snack. Many varieties of arepa that I would come back to try. Also lots sides that look delicious. After having lunch of the la trinadad arepa and the pork bites, I was full but wish I wasn’t cuz I wanted to try more! Will be back!

First time trying Arepa’s and was very impressed. I had the steak, avacado and home made cheese arepa. For a side I had yuca frita with and really good dipping sauce. Value and service were also excellent.

Great food. Awesome atmosphere. The green sauce is so good. The staff are really friendly. Only place of its kind in town. Definitely worth a try. We’ll be back!

I’ve been here twice now, and both times were excellent. It’s the only place where I have had an Arepa, so I can’t comment on the authenticity, but they are delicious. There is a large range of different fillings, and the (very friendly) staff have a wide range of vegetarian and vegan alternatives on request. As the Arepa itself is gluten-free, it’s a great place to go with people that have inconvenient food preferences/allergies/intolterances.The only appetiser I have tried was the tequeos, which are delicious cheese-filled pastries. Note that the cream-coloured sauce that they have in a bottle is spicy habanero – very tasty, but be careful if you’re not a fan of spicy food. Finally, they have an unusual cane sugar + lime drink – definitely worth a try as the flavours are well balanced and it is not too sweet. The one thing to bear in mind is that this is NOT fast food. It’s all cooked to order, so it’ll be 15-30mins for your food to arrive.

Pork and Cheese Arepa, and Yuca FritaSaw pictures of this on a friends IG story and it looked so dope. Avila Arepa has dope food. Yuca Frita were fried cassava and it a perfect side for the main course of the arepa. Fritas came with a dipping sauce which was so good that I forgot what was actually in it. The Arepa was mouthwatering. Arepa is a ground maize dough that is then filled with whatever you want. I got the pork and cheese cause it looked like a solid combo to try. The arepa dough was so crisp on the outside yet was able to hold all the cheesy goodness with minimal mess.Avila Arepa is on whyte ave close to 108st. Its a decent sized restaurant. Nice to see a different type of cuisine on Whyte with this Venezuelan restaurant. Although it was Friday night at 6, I gave some credit to AA for the slow service. Then I realized, they only serve arepas..why did it take an entire episode of Game of Thrones for me to get an arepa which should be the only thing cooking in the kitchen? Really great food but they really need to figure out this division of labour in the kitchen.Sal says: Just Try It#yeg #yegfood #food #foodie #foodporn #foodgasm #foodpics #foodstagram #instafood #delicious #hungry #yummy #dinner #venezuelan

My new favorite Eatery on Whyte Avenue…Avila Arepa..Urban Venezuelan Kitchen…10760C – 82 Avenue, (Whyte Avenue) Edmonton. There is an Arepa for everyone’s taste…My Rumbera… was stuffed with roasted pork and cheese and was a meal in itself. It came with a small side of coleslaw and was good value at $8.00. Friendly atmosphere and is prepared while you wait.. so get a drink and settle in. Came back for a second go..this time Chacaito…pulled beef and Queso Mano…and it was as good as the pork….the sauces really add to the flavor. $10.50…Telus Wifi and plugins if needed. Friendly service…
