The food is decent, the lunch specials are extensive, and the wonton soup is huge. The service leaves a lot to be desired, though. We’ve come here numerous times with groups and have to ask for rice to be brought, then for water to be refilled, then for leftover food to be packed up, even though it wasn’t busy (one other table). By ask I mean you have to get up and go to the till/counter and ask them for what you need; they don’t come by your table to see how everything is or to check on you.
Really bad experience. I was craving for gud Chinese food from long .but it wS a bad choice to go to mandarin.. It was such a pathetic food I hav never had such a bad experience with Chinese cuisine. I would rate it too low
First time! Delish!! Speedy service, food was hot and delishous and staff were friendly. Would recommend again.Enjoyed squid, ginger beef, rice, war wonton soup, and Shanghai noodles.
Hour and a half delivery. Waited for a pretty small order for way too long. Love the food though.
Don’t bother!. After waiting over 95 minutes for our food and calling to ask where it was the delivery man showed up. I called the restaurant to ask if there would be any discount due to the long wait. We spent nearly $60 and were given $10 off, without any apology. We opened the food to eat it and it was cold. Not impressed. There are other chinese restaurants in the city so I certainly won’t bother giving this one my business any more.
Went Saturday night, quite late. Server was still very friendly and helpful, food was made fresh (with no MSG), and portion size was huge. The twonof us ended up having a soup plus three other dishes and we were both full and both had enough leftovers for another meal or two each. Will definitely have to remember this more often in the future!
Good Canadian-Chinese. Finally found a place near Whyte Ave that dishes out reasonable Canadian-Chinese food. No its not necessarily authentic ethnic cuisine, maybe the menu isn’t in Asian script, and maybe the service is a bit rough. Frankly I didn’t go looking for any of those things. I went looking for decent take out classics, and I found them.The sweet and sour pork (with pineapple) was good and ample. They tossed in a nice mix of veggies too, which I didn’t mind. The beef and broccoli was well prepared; the beef tender and the broccoli el dante. The sauce was good; it was simple but flavourful. The chicken fried rice was just okay; I’ve had better and I’ve had far worse. The spring rolls were the low point of the meal, but they taste like most of the spring rolls around Edmonton: slightly off, as though the veggies had gotten a little too old to use. They were nice and crispy and not oily. Overall though the meal was good; the sauces were good and the veggies were fresh and properly prepared.As far as Chinese food in Edmonton goes, its better than most of the places I’ve been. It’s not my favourite place, but I’ll likely be back.
