On the lower side of donairs in Edmonton. The meat has a terrible texture. They cut off a bunch and keep it in a slow cooker so that it is ready at a moments notice rather than cut you off fresh slices. the result is meat with dried out and tougher edges and middles that are kind of soggy. The vegetables and fixings however are acceptable quality and freshness so its not all bad but the meat is obviously the most important part.Way better donairs close by. Don’t bother
Decided to give it a try last week, the place is pretty run down and not well kept. While I was waiting for my donair to be made, another customer and I spotted a mouse walking across the heat lamp area where the pizzas go. Despite this I still decided to try my donair. I could only finish half, and threw the rest away. The meat had been soaking in a slow cooker in a sauce that had bad flavor. The vegetables were not fresh especially the lettuce. Won’t be coming back.
