Amazing bubble tea, but they call it Hong Kong style tea for some reason. The boba (sago) is perfected in texture and the passion fruit jelly is great…

Really cute place! I really enjoyed the Ferrero rocher bubble tea, taro bubble tea and curry balls. They were also able to make a customized Vietnamese coffee bubble tea for me which was perfect. There are a variety of drinks and snack items available. Staff are super friendly and helpful too! Great location for U of A students. Definitely worth checking out!
For a low-key place that specializes in bubble tea, snacks and desserts, I love it here. Great service and love the slushy bubble tea with juice. Green onion cakes were delicious also! Will come back and perhaps play a board game next time!
Qup cafe surprised me! The drinks were great despite the menu that repeated the same stock photos over and over again. The food there was mediocre but it’s what you would expect it to be for that price/location. It’s small, but a great place to pass the time with good friends! Service is always great as well 🙂
Ive heard of this place before but never go the chance to stop by until today. Its on the second floor of Red Pony and across from the Running Room. As you walk in you get blasted with the colour orange, once you get to the top youll see the decor is better than their choice in wall colour. My girlfriend and I ordered a honeydew and watermelon bubble tea, she swapped out the tapioca for lychee jelly ($0.50 extra). We also ordered the Hong Kong style egg waffle and since I didnt have lunch yet, I ordered the noodle with chicken broth (I know, some my question why I would order instant noodle, especially when its $5.50 a bowl)Lets start with the bubble tea, it was to my delight quite delicious, we both wanted the fruit juice instead of milk tea, not sure if it was real fruit or really well blended powder, but it tasted great! The egg waffles covered in powdered sugar were far from comparison to the legit ones in Hong Kong, but it wasnt badfor Edmonton anyways. Oh boy, the instant noodle, I dont even know where to start, for $5.50 you would assume that they would give you more than just noodles and 3 piece of veggies, but nope, to add an egg itll be an $1, and to add fish balls it would be an extra $2, I didnt want to pay for more than what is already over priced so I stuck to the plain noodles. The noodles were cooked just right (not too soft or too hard), topped with what I assumed was XO sauce or just some sort of chilly oil, it gave the chicken broth noodles a great kick. Presentation wise, this place deserves a 5/5, but price wisenot worth.Overall if you want a place to chill with a couple of friends and get some bubble tea, I would definitely say give this place a try, but as far as food goes, I would tell you to eat elsewhere first, unless you want to grab a snack like the egg waffles and crepe. I would rate this place 3/5, might go back but just for the bubble tea.
Not for Me.. Good thing my friends and I were in a cheery mood when we sat down for a late night bite. The cafe is small but cosy. There was not a single customer besides ourselves on what we would expect to be a busy night. The rest of the place was filled by friends of the staff and slowly throughout the night the crowd of friends grew, but not customers. The servers were quite nice and courteous, but seemed unsure of the menu and a little unprofessional as they conglomerated in the corner of the cafe. The food was for a lack of better words a mess – overpriced, nothing special, something you might throw together at home. The bubble tea was watery, and the same order tasted different. What got me was the green onion cakes, we literally received ONE thin green onion cake cut into 8 small wedges for $5. So ridiculous that it made us laugh especially considering what you might typically receive at any other bubble tea place. There is potential with this place, and we left in good spirits. However, even with a stamp card to redeem bbt in the future this cafe is not for us.
Best BBT in the city.. The most underrated BBT joint in the city. Best bbt by far. The owners are super friendly and good looking. Food menu is amazing. Everyone’s gotta try the Oreo and Taro BBT. By far the best bbt I ever tried!!! Fish balls and the egg waffles is a must try.
