I’m not going to review the decor of this restaurant because there is none. (Regrud Whyte Ave) OSB, empty paint cans and walls of plastic pipe sections overwritten with graffiti kind of speak for itself. The stool seating is uncomfortable and the banquet seating is too far from the tables. I get the look, I just don’t think it works here. This place is about burgers and shakes but like so many of todays eateries the descriptions of items in the menu are far more appealing than the product that is actually served up.I ordered the Smoke n’ Fire Burger. The bun was lovely and fresh and the hand formed patti was juicy, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Sadly, the burger was neither smoky, or fiery. (Smoke N’ Fire6 oz Alberta Grassfed Beef, Smoky Potato Threads, Jalapeno Jack Cheese, Tomato, Pickled Habanero, Butter Lettuce, Spicy Aioli) The smoky potato threads were flavourless, and think they forgot the Pickled Habanero. For $13.00 for the burger alone, I was expecting much better. My wife ordered the Lutter (THE LUTTER! Glazed Doughnuts Buns, 4 oz Alberta Beef, Bacon, Egg, Cheddar Cheese) This was a pleasant surprise. A perfectly fried egg with a lovely dark orange yolk was the perfect topping for the doughnut bun! Messy and yummy. We Shared a small order of Asiago fries – also very good. Fresh Asiago, chopped garlic in a buttery sauce, poured over fries – really good. For dessert we split the SUGAR RUSH (Shake Topped with Brownie and Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich). All the shakes being served around us were stacked high with various accessories – cookies, pieces of birthday cake, etc. The one we had, however, was strangely devoid of flavour, it wasn’t even that sweet. In fact I would say it looked a lot better than it tasted.

This place reminded me of a TV show hang out where kids would go visit for hours and sit with a single drink. Place is pretty neat for the kiddos…but adults be warned…diabetes in a cup. Garlic fries were decent, milkshakes pretty good…didnt get to the burgers as a family of 5….well….not dropping $100 for burgers and fries. The set up was pretty cool…minus the music blasting and switching from little mermaids Ballard to uncensored gangsta rap…. had to cover the kids ears once in a while.

Great atmosphere, with all of the art. and, it seems they are environmentally conscious, so that’s a great plus as well.As for the food, the burgers were great, if not overpriced!Milkshakes are good too.Recommended.

Maybe I am just getting old but this place is a hit for the younger crowd. The food and shakes are over priced and the atmosphere is kinda… somewhat retro/ industrial? The shakes are Instagram-able but very sweet. The long waits don’t help. If your craving burgers or something sweet, this may or may not be the place for you.

Unimpressed. TLDR: Overhyped and overpriced. Longer Version: Went there as it supposedly has a good milkshake, I heard. The Good: Staff is nice. Atmosphere is colorful. The Bad: Strap in. Going to be a bit of a read. The Chairs are milkcrates with a cushion on top. It’s as uncomfortable as it sounds. For $9 a milkshake, I wouldn’t mind not having my rear end go from discomfort, to pain, to full on ‘my bottom is asleep’. Didn’t want a full lunch, so we settled on a plain ‘classic’ chocolate shake, a ‘Vegan Oreo Lactose Intolerant Soy Milk Coconut Milk Shake’, and Onion Rings. The shake was the exact same as Chocolate Milk. There was no Ice Cream in there. Whip Cream on Top (from a spray can I presume), and some chocolate sauce tossed in. Didn’t taste much like a ‘Classic Chocolate Milkshake’. The Oreo Shake had crushed up Oreo in it, but was 100% overshadowed by ‘This tastes like Coconut Milk and nothing else’. So thumbs down there. The Onion Rings. 9 Rings on the plate. For $9.00. $1.00 a ring. I mean….it’s Onion. Some Panko. And you’re done. I’m not saying I want 12lbs of onion rings, but really? The Ugly: Came to $20. For two shakes in a Mason Jar (i.e. they’re small for a $5.00 Shake. A $8.00 Lactose Intolerant Shake that was Coconut Milk and not one scoop of Ice Cream anywhere) and 9 Onion Rings. I counted. I wish I didn’t tip them. So, in Conclusion, if you want a good Burger, go across the street to Next Act for some of the best Burgers in town. Milkshake? You’re going to trek out to Downtown Diner in Fort Saskatchewan. Don’t want the trip? Go to Burger Baron for a shake. They’re even better than this Millennial Hipster Overpriced Gimmicky Nonsense. I don’t need an actual Donut on my Shake. That’s vapid and inane. I don’t need a ring of Crushed Oreo around the rim of my mason Jar to let me know I’m drinking a supposed Oreo Shake. Spend your coin elsewhere.

The ambience was very quirky and worth visiting as the idea was different as a whole , we ordered a cookie sandwich milkshake , the presentation of the shake was good and the ice cream a sandwich was good in taste but the shake overall needs some improvement ! As it was tasting as I was only having ice cream blended no specific taste to it .
