I love Remedy Cafe! Same great drinks, eats, and ambiance as the other locations. The staff is super friendly and helpful here too. The only negative is the limited seating at this particular location and there are no washrooms here.
Butter chicken is great. Newly renovated. Younger and educated crowd of course. They offer various beers as well. Free wifi. Great spot!
Yuck. I went to the Remedy Cafe on Whyte this afternoon because I was starving and I needed a gluten free option. I saw the sign on their sandwich board outside and thought I would give it a try. The girl behind the counter was fine, and she recommended the bagelwich with ham and egg, and I was shocked when she told me the restaurant doesn’t have tomatoes. Ever. Anyhow, I ordered it and while I waited for over 10 minutes, I could see through the little window and occasional swings of the kitchen door that little blue haired chick eating a sandwich while she was preparing my order. A bite of her sandwich…back to making my sandwich…a bite of her sandwich…back to making my sandwich…was she biting my sandwich? At that point I couldn’t tell…but when she brought it out to me, still licking her lips, she had the audacity to apologize for it taking so long. Now, normally I would not have eaten it, but it was SEVEN DOLLARS, and I was starving. So how was it? Well for a dried out, over toasted bagel, a microwaved egg, and two skimpy slices of deli ham, it was disgusting. I would make a couple of suggestions to the owners. Fire your staff. All of them. Hire people who have foodsafe, and who understand and take seriously what that certification means. Produce a better grade of food and don’t charge pretentious prices. They say Karma is a b**ch. So is word of mouth.
Great service, tasty food, and a lot of gluten free and vegan options.
Definitely needs a washroom!
