In like the alley behind the Main Street, their entrance is basically where the parking lot is. Pulling up and walking over to the door, during prime hour youll be seeing a bunch of girls taking pictures of the floor. Yeah, major floor goals here. The interior itself is also something to admire at, the mix of the brick and the white paneled walls stand out brighter and cleaner bouncing from the darker counter. The space calls out to all the Edmontonians around looking for instagrammable photos and sweets to devour. Amy opened her brick and mortar after doing her run in the Farmers Market, taking #EATLOCAL and #SUPPORTLOCAL to a whole new meaning and understanding. Cinnamon Buns – ($5) – Pecan and raisin with Bourbon Glaze. Savory, buttery and decadent, everything youd want a cinnamon bun to be. The size was huge for one, not really a fan of the pecans so I ate around it. But it was overall pretty good. Macarons – ($3) – Lime Margarita and Passion Fruit. Not my favorite macarons ever, the filling was like a syrup texture, really sticky and the macaron shells were chewy and didnt hold shape very well. Lemon Tart – ($5) – My favorite of the four goodies we got. The creamy whipped layer on top of that sour lemon filling came together beautifully in one bite. Taking the sour level to a more mellow sweet bite. The tart crust was on another level, it kept its shape but crumbled into a beautiful cookie mess as you dived in for a bite. First encounter with Sugared and Spiced and Im not going to write it off my list just yet. There were some hits and misses with my mini haul of items this visit, but there was still a ton behind the display that caught my eye. The owners are humble and very genuine and they honestly made the visit so pleasant. Congratulations on the new opening, look forward to my next visit!
