Ordered take out. It was ready in 25 min. The chicken pa Thai was above average. It was really really good. I would recommend it. I was not that impressed with the other food. It was average especially considering the price. Very, very costly for smaller portions. (I amComparing the size to the Chinese take out I normally order.) The service was very friendly, fast and helpful.
Taste was hard to find in the yellow and green curries. This is a surprise since we always enjoyed the food pre- renovation. Very disappointed.
Very nice lunch. I quite enjoyed lunch here the other day. We came by a little late, at 1:30 (they close for a couple of hours at 2:00 and open again later). The place was nice and clean, service was excellent, and the food was good and fresh. Since I had never been here before, I decided to try their Pad Thai with shrimp. Pad Thai and shrimp are so delicate and so easy to mess up, that I figured if they got this right then they are probably on the right track. It was absolutely excellent. That’s all I need to say. Excellent. Linda had the yellow curry, with chicken and coconut rice. She loved it. Spicy but not overwhelming. All nice flavors. Definitely a place we would come back to.
Great Place!. Some of the best Thai food I have tasted in Calgary!
Not great.. Ordered take out from De Thai – Pad Thai, Ginger Beef Stir Fry and salad rolls. First off, portions were extremely tiny, I mean actually comically small. Pad Thai was quite literally noodles and shrimp, nothing else. I know Pad Thai ingredients can vary, but it lacked all the staple ingredients – there wasn’t any green onion, egg, bean sprouts/mung beans or even lime!! Very odd and not much flavor. The ginger beef was mostly peppers and there were very few of them. Salad rolls were the only redeeming factor. They were actually decent. Overall, I would never order from here again. For my next Thai craving I’ll make the trip to Khao San on 17th.
Reminded me of good Thai food in Montreal! Can’t wait to eat this again (and try some other dishes).
Good food but pricey. Around Marda Loop at lunch time and had a craving for Thai. I ordered lunch special Pad Thai which tasted just fine. The portion was small however. You will still be hungry if you go into this place hungry to begin with. Given the small portion, I ordered the dessert Thai crepe (which turned out to be a simple SMALL roti with condense milk inside and chocolate sauce on top). It’s quite delicious even it’s so simple, but again the portion is small and it’s $5. Given its size it probably costs less than $1 to make!Overall the quality of the food is pretty good, but portion is small and quite pricey for what it is. Recommended if you want to snack and not if you are hungry.
