I am only commenting on the free breakfast buffet that came with my stay. For a reasonably priced hotel stay, I’d say the free breakfast is excellent. It’s not something I’d pay more than $13 otherwise. I loved their omelette station (which is not offered everyday). Other than that, there’s always the scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon that you can get yourself. I liked the variety of nuts you can add to your oatmeal. I remember paying $12 USD for oatmeal with fruits in Spokane so this is value beyond belief. You should definitely check out this hotel. It’s nice and quiet. Good for kids too 😉
My family and I went in for the all-you-can-eat seafood – it was very busy but we got seated right away anyways. Huge selections but low quality food. I was imagining oysters and king crab legs but there were none of those. There was that salmon appetizer- it was weird. I cant describe the taste. It didnt taste like raw salmon at all. Very busy. Very loud. Chaotic. Wont go back again and wont recommend it either.
Here is an alternative for all you buffet lovers. On Wednesdays Grey Eagle offers Asian night which includes hot items like roasted pork (full pig), short ribs, noodles, pho, dim sum, and sashimi / nigri sushi. I’d say the quality and flavors here are higher than other buffet places I’ve been to. I like how they offer sashimi and sushi (salmon and tuna cuts are We’ll portioned). They also have a personal sushi chef that just stands there and makes nigri sushi. I tried making conversation with the sushi chef but he doesn’t talk much oh well. For desserts they have a variety to chose from cookies to cake / cheese cake and even a chocolate fountain where you can dip your fruit. I’d say for $28 / person you really get your money’s worth. And if you usually see other Asians eating here you know youre in the right place.
Went for the Thursday Seafood buffer. Pretty good- got lots of seafood and went back about 3x for refills. Oysters, crab legs, lobster claws… and more! I thought that their policy that you could only be in there for a certain amount of time was wack, but understandable (I think it was like 1-1.5 hours max of being in there?) but overall I was filled up good and had a gold seafood coma after it. It was on the pricey side (almost $50) so you better eat your worth of seafood there.
My boyfriend and I went to Grey Eagle Casino Buffet twice with his mom when we were in Calgary. The buffet is at the Grey Eagle Casino, which located right beside the LincolnPark. You must have a car to go there. By accident, We always went there on Pan – Asian food Wednesdaynight.:( The environment is very clean and big. The waitresses were friendly and nice. For me, therewere no many selections for Asian food and taste of the food was OK. Not fancy and different from other Asian restaurants. There was a wide selection of dessert. Tobe honest, I would like to go back to this casino buffet to try on Seafood night Thursday or BBQ Buffet on Mondays and Tuesdays. food.belindajin.com
I went to their Pan Asian buffet for dinner and it was disappointing, the only thing going for them was the Sashimi. The hot entrees was really not worth eating, shrimp was way over cooked and the crab claws were dry. The Vietnamese Pho was not hot and bland, the desserts were mostly squares and cookies and pies of course they also have a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit. All in all it was not great. We went with 8 people and we ate a lot of sashimi and for some it was not worth it at all. Choices are slim and just to much BBQ meat stuff that are dried out and flavor lacking. If you just want to go somewhere and gorge go to Greg Eagle. If you want good tasty quality food go somewhere else.
Horrible staff and service! I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s hard to believe anyone would find this place an acceptable place to eat. The parking lot is always full so you have to park a long ways from the entrance. The minute you enter the lobby you get a sense that the staff would rather have you not enter. No smiles, No welcome. Lousy!
