Love this place, haven’t had a bad meal here, not a huge wing person but I make an exception for pops wings cause they are awesome. Atmosphere can be sketchy sometimes.
Pop’s is easily one of the best bars in Calgary to have a drink and some food. The staff are always super friendly and accommodating to the large group (20+ people) we usually come in. Their menu is sizeable with a lot of interesting and unique offerings.We are usually here on wing Wednesday (25 cents) and they are always on point with the seasoning/sauce. I usually go for their honey jack or dill pickle…or both. My favourite day to come though is Tuesday for 88 cent tacos, I mean how do you beat that price? They aren’t very big but when you can order 10 for under $10 you’re good to go.If Pop’s wasn’t so far away for me it would be my go to bar for every occasion.
Me and my bf decided to come check this place out today for lunch. Server was too busy at the bar talking to a customer and took too long to greet us, so we decided to sit ourselves. My bf ordered the cheese burger and fries (they were out of skinny fries) and I ordered a pizza, asked for no crispy pork belly. About 20 minutes later the server comes and says that the chef forgot to not put pork belly on my pizza. I was a little be disappointed but I let it go. Asked the server for the wifi password, she said she was new at the place and didn’t know. Didn’t make any effort to find out. Never came back to check on us. Food was ok, service was very poor.
