Went here once with my husband and son was so looking forward to it. Our meal was not good and definitely not worth the price of it . The service was horrible . The decor was lovely but that’s the only upside to this place I will never go back
Great Food. Went for our anniversary and had made a prior reservation. We were seated in a nice private booth and our server was busy but adequate. There was a mix up with how one steak was done but when it was corrected it was cooked perfectly & worth the wait. The food was very good.
Very disappointed. 3 of us, after hearing mixed reviews, decided to try the Sawmill in Grande Prairie. Besides the fact the our service was awful and the server put the wrong food and wrong drinks in front of each person every time she was by out table, the food was terrible. the appetizers came out very quickly which impressed us, but the scallops were cold and the mushrooms were horrible, they tasted awful and my friend bit down on several pieces of shell in hers. once we got our main course, the chicken was dry, the steak was tough and all three of our meals were served cold. our waitress did not come to our table until we were all through with our food. we expressed that we were not very pleased and she just took our plates and walked away. will not be returning to the sawmill!
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Me and my husband decided to eat at the sawmill today and we were both impressed with the service and the food. Although it wasn’t busy, the food was great. Personally I don’t think there’s another place here in this city that compares. The steak was cooked perfectly and the pasta was refreshing. Will definitely be returning!
Bad food and bad management. Speaking on behalf of my wife who has gone to the sawmill twice, which surprised me she went went again due to the first experience. Not only was the food terrible the first time, the organization and presentation of the food was poor. She chose to go again this evening with girlfriends and unfortunately her experience was worse. Again poor organization and food as well as the server was confused, seemed preoccupied and lost all at once. He then asked for assistance with the bills from the manager which ended in even more confusion. When she attempted to settle everything to end the confusion the manger had his back up and was confrontational. He made it out that the confusion was due to her table and was borderline ready to yell. Which leads us to believe the Sawmill has very poor costumer service and awful management, hate to lump everyone into one bad category but if owners allow management to treat customers that way it is no place I want to spend a lot of money on food.
Service/food. The food was excellent and the service provided by Carla and John was the best we have ever seen in Grande Prairie
Went in with family after waiting a few weeks to get a table…worthless. Waitress accused wife of ordering wrong food after incorrect order brought out, and completely unimpressed with prawns and steak. Both looked like microwave dinner entre, and tasted the same. Never again.
