Love the food…hate the location. The food was great. However the building is old and run down. Inside needs some renovating done. I wish they were a little more strict with the dress code. People wearing ball caps and hoodies to the keg doesnt seem right.
Reservation worked great. Got a phonecall from the restaurant within 15 mins to confirm.
Best steakhouse in town. Yes, it’s a chain, but it’s still the best steakhouse in town. Prices are fair considering. Service is always awesome, and 8/10 times the food is stellar. Horrible parking though.
Always a disappointment. Our family always goes to the Keg for all of our family events. Anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, whatever. Almost everytime I have been there, I have had to send mine back. The steak is over cooked, they spilled the salt shaker in my food, the steak is bleeding all over my plate. whatever. Last time I was there I decided to order chicken instead and maybe I would be able to eat with the rest of the family. Wasn’t meant to be. My meal arrived and it looked like a hockey puck stuck on a plate with some dried up asparagus and a little brown dried up potato. They had put some lobster underneath the chicken that was way overcooked, oversalted and soggy. I tried to eat it instead of sending it back because I hate eating alone. I couldn’t do it. Couldn’t even chew that chicken. The whole meal was disgusting. The prices are outrageous compared to other places. The one good thing I will say is that the service is awesome. Oh ya and another thing that happened last time we went there is we made the reservations online and made them for 8:30. We let everyone know that we were booked for that time and then I got a confirmation email that said our reservations were confirmed for 7:00. Phoned the Keg and got it straightened out. Had to call about 4 times before they answered the phone. Just not going back there for anything. One of the worst places in town to eat as far as I am concerned. Also the cuts of meat are inconsistent and the meals are poor quality. The appetizers are decent and the desserts are good but heart attack material.
Very disappointing meal. Everything highly over salted, mash was cold and gluey, my steak undercooked and daughter’s over cooked, green beans so dry, lobster overcooked! Horrible meal.
Best steak in the world. All I can say is you can’t please people. Reading the previous reviews seeing any negative comment is absurd to me. This consistently is the best steak dinner in town. I have traveled the world, gone to some very high end restaurants and Grande Prairie Alberta Canada has a restaurant that can measure up to any of them. It is expensive but Ruth Chris is 50% more and not any better. We are in the north, be glad we have the option to eat a meal that measures up to any I’ve had in New York, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, you get my point. Enjoy this establishment, we are lucky to have it.
