I’ve eating at Liz’s many times and get take-out even more often. I’ve always had a good experience there and the food is great! My favourite thing on the menu is the Cajun Chicken Sandwich.
I have been to both the Lizard Lounge (Liz’s previous pub) as well as Liz’s Homestyle Grill, and both establishments have amazing food. Liz knows the meaning of good quality food ingredients; you will not be disappointed. The portions are exceptional..you definitely get what you pay for, and the service is impeccable. I always have a pleasant experience when I dine here.
I am the owner of Liz’s Homestyle grill. I am disappointed there are so many bad experiences posted here. We have so many great customers that love the place and dine with us almost everyday if not everyday. Unfortunately most prefer to voice negative experiences rather than good ones. I am very thankful for the couple good reviews we got. I wish the other customers would have allowed me the chance to correct what they felt was a bad experience but you cannot please everyone. I am committed to providing quality food at the lowest price I can afford and I struggle and work extremely hard to keep my restaurant at my standard and continuously strive to make improvements. This is a very tough business and I assure you that I do the very best I can on a daily basis. We are doing well and hope to have the positive reflect on a decision to dine with us
The staff aren’t very friendly and the food prices represent a high end diner, but the food is decent at best. There doesn’t seem to be any style or sceme to the lay out and none of the furniture really match. most if the tables are propped up by coasters but there seems to be a shortage for on the tables. Why is there a tower of empty beer boxes in the dinning area? And good luck using the bathroom cause of the combination lock!
Overpriced pub food.. Small neighborhood bar that could be great but for the severely overpriced pub food. Liz is probably losing customers from around the neighborhood that would happily frequent the place but are turned of by the high prices for the pub food. It’s to bad because its the only pub in the area and they could get a lot more return customers if the prices were a bit more realistic. It’s pub food, not a fancy restaurant, so the prices should not be priced like it is a fancy restaurant. I would go all the time but frankly I can’t afford to. There are lots of small neighborhood pubs that are far better in Edmonton. There loss.
Did not enjoy it. Ive been there a few times and the food is decent but the service is awful! I was waiting to be served for quite a while and then my glass of wine had sat empty for more than twenty minutes. The only time I was approached by the owner (also the waitress) was for her to ask me to pay the bill. Recommend it for extremely patient people
I’ve been here twice and loved it both times. It is usually full of boozing working men but the homemade soups and sandwiches are fantastic.
