Mandolin is eclectic as it gets, but worth checking out at least once. Drinks are decent, but seating is extremely limited (I believe there are 2-3 tables?).
I love Mandolin. Great staff, local coffee, good treats, and lots of books to browse. I’ve recommended to lots of people over the years I’ve lived in Highlands. A true community gem!
I have such a soft spot for this place! it was right next to my college and It was sometimes the only place open for me to go and eat! so cozy, amazing drinks and food. You can read books, study! Love it!!
Superb atmosphere. Nice and relaxed place to be. Coffee is good too!
Mandolin is a coozy neighbourhood used books store that happens to have a coffee and tea bar and a few comfy chairs. Don’t expect any baristas and such. Its a nice place to kill a bit of time and support a truly local business. Better than Starbucks and Chapters any day.
Cool place to hang out. So refreshing to see a local coffee shop in Edmonton. Good books and good coffee. I’d take this place over a Starbucks any day.
When I order an Americano coffee at a specialty shop I expect it to taste like strong coffee….not brown water! Mediocre sugary desserts!
