If you live in thorncliffe, or are in the area or just literally feel like trying a new Chinese restaurant I would recommend trying this place. We ordered 5 different dishes (crispy chicken, gai lan & beef, sweet and sour pork chops, salt and pepper squid and beef with onions). Most if not all of these dishes were cooked in a unique style and just tasted damn good with that wok flavor. The crispy chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, gai lan and beef had fresh vegetables with nice slices of beef, sweet and sour pork chops has lean cuts of meat with a strong flavor of ginger and honey, the beef and onions was amazing where I actually ate the onions, and my least favorite dish was the salt and pepper squid which had seasoning but not as much salt (maybe they made it this way to cut down the sodium intake so it feels like you’re not killing yourself). Prices per dish are around 14 each and with big portions. I would definitely come back.
Mainly Cantonese food. Braised chicken was very delicious, if only for that, I could have given 4.5! Eggplant was a bit burnt, otherwise also not a bad choice. I didn’t like vermicelli with pickled cabbage and pork though.
We ate here a month ago and ordered the 10 course dinner. It included (in no particular order)1. Peking Duck2. Fish Maw Soup3. Lobster4. Fried rice5. Fish6. Crab Claws7. Veggies (snow peas with squid)8. Chicken9. Veggies (pea shoots)10. Noodles(11. Birthday buns – not part of the 10 course meal but we were celebrating a birthday) The restaurant was busy and each dish was a large portion but they were bland in flavor.
