Off the beat and path. Great little restaurant ..
Okay Meal. There are two restaurants entrances in the lobby, this one and THE restaurant, but only one hostess posted at the later of the two; it’s a bit confusing. Our waiter, James, was very pleasant and did his best to manage all the tables at once. Our meal began with cucumber slices topped with salmon pate – very nice! The bread was warm and fresh, it just took awhile to get our butter. My husband had the jamaican chicken wings with mango papaya salsa (no cilantro), they were definitely spicy. I had the sauted halibut cheeks with leek and capicola cream which I thoroughly enjoyed. For my main course I ordered an 8 oz Filet Mignon with parmesan mashed potatoes and broccolini on the side, the potatoes alone were worth ordering the meal. My husband had the english mixed grill which consisted of beef tenderloin, lamb chop, liver, sausage, black pudding, tomato pommes frit and grilled asparagus. He wasn’t fond of the black pudding or sausage but enjoyed all the rest. The meals was nice but not exceptional.
