Cute little concept and the menu had many delicious looking items, but in mine and my friends opinion the taste of what we ordered (Caesar salad, pan bread and corn dogs) were a little lacklustre. They only had one server on and she was sweet but it was too busy for her to be alone. In general Im glad I tried it but I probably wont come back.

If you’ve ever been to the Brasserie in Kensington, you know that you’re in for a fantastic meal! The Container Bar is just on the side of the building, which is perfect for sitting on a patio but being shielded from the wind and the sun. The menu is a bit smaller, but the food comes from the same kitchen so it is still delicious. The atmosphere of the small outside bar is contagious – everyone is out there looking to have a good time and enjoy the beautiful Calgary weather. I had their classic poutine, and it was delicious. The fries weren’t soggy at all, but there was still enough gravy on it to keep the flavour. My boyfriend had the burger, which looked amazing as well! Definitely recommend going out to try it, especially during these beautiful days Calgary is having. franklyray.com
Funky bar. Love it! Located in an alley between two buildings, this is an awesome idea. Reminds me of Toronto. Yes, you are in an alley. There’s a mobile roof that covers most of the bar when it rains. Warm blankets in case you are cold. Heaters that actually keep you warm. Inexpensive summer white wine, creative gin and tonics, and a self serve water bottle infused with vegetables. Also, great service. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do so before the end of summer. hittingthesauce.wordpress.com
Al fresco dining …… Calgarians love patios in the summertime. Finding this place is even more exciting than finding a great food truck – and it’s licensed! A great addition to Kensington. Good food for a quick stop too – thanks Cam et al.
Great space that has an energetic vibe. The large retractable awning keeps you safe from too much sun or any rain. Chef Kam is leading the way again.
