Maybe it was a odd day for them. But we ordered 2 bowls of pho and salad rolls. My beef was an odd very pale color. While the salad rolls was a little bit on the harder side.
Checked this place out today. Ordered basics. Deep fried spring rolls, pork and shrimp salad rolls, beef sate soup. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Will go again.
I dun had the mofo spicy seafood sate and boi was it ever a let down. Nothing good about it. I should have went else where because Kensington has never been a good place to eat and it never will be. Crab was tasteless, shrimp tasted like cheap shrimp. Squid was alright but it was a let down
A lot of food. But a lot of fat on it. Only a bad tempered attendant. I thought we would have to wash our dishes. Never again.
Came here with my friend today and won’t be coming back. We waited for our food for 40 minutes and it was ridiculous. The Pho is okay, the soup definitely doesn’t have enough flavour, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
Wanted some good Vietnamese and since this was in our neighbourhood, we thought we’d try it. First of all, one of the specials, which is what I wanted, was no longer available. Okay, but take it off the menu then – it’s so irritating to have your heart set on something only to be told No. We ordered the salad rolls and dumplings as appies, and I ordered the Lemon Grass Chicken and my husband ordered the Curry Chicken. The appies came – mine were just noodles with three prawns each. No carrot sticks, no herbs, no spices. Boring! His dumplings were deep-fried (ick), but tasted alright.When our dinners came, they looked identical. Mine had a hint of lemongrass and his had a hint of curry. And they were swimming in a disgusting glutinous gravy-like mass. This was more like hideous Chinese than Vietnamese. The inside is like a diner cafe. The owner didn’t greet us or give us menus. I had to get them myself. He never once came to our table after we were served and I had to wave and call out to get our bill. He was watching tv.I will never go there again. Disgusting food (I’m giving mine to my dogs), terrible service, and awful decor.
The lunch special is a great deal! Rice vermicelli with salad roll combo is great. Cheap and huge portion!!! I would definitely go again if I wanna have a quick lunch in Kensington area.
