Great place for spicy Chinese food. If you are not into super hot chili flavour, you can ask the server whether the particular dish can be prepared less hot. They will let you know whether it can be done or not. However, there are items on the menu that are not chili hot at all. Quite accommodating. Lots of unique Yunan dishes.
Enjoyed dinner here with my family and a longtime friend. It is very much like the Chinese restaurants in Beijing, with the picture menu and properly spicy food. We had some of my favorite dishes from Beijing so I could introduce them to my family. Ma Po Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken, spicy green beans, Spicy Shrimp, Lotus Root with dried beef, as well as Lotus Root with vegetables. Each of them was suitably spicy, even after my friend (who was there before) advised that we ask for only medium spicy. I was worried that it would be too watered down to be authentic, but it was just right.
