Breakfast was ok but there was only one person serving people and he was getting overwhelmed with people. There was another lady but she wasn’t very helpful.
Meh… When I order steak and eggs for breakfast I don’t expect the toast to be the best part. Steak – dry and poorly seasoned, eggs – old; cold, hash browns – left over from yesterday. Very nice room. The hostess should not hang out in the adjacent lounge for most shift. Server was nice but needs some help and guidance.
Their snow crab is amazing but I would not recommend this restaurant for anything other than their all you can eat snow crab. unlike Bookers, you get salad bar, vegetables and rice as well. I have tried their steak and shrimp yet found them to be tough grisly and flavourless. Service is good but always slow on holidays and long weekends… so beware of that.12 Jul, 2013LOVE their all you can eat snow crab
Borderline approval. Went to Daltons last night to try the all you can eat crab with family. Overall food was ok I had the chilli lime Talapia with steamed baby red potato and veg, and bacon alfredo. Fish was ok but the pasta was better. Salad bar was sparse they didn’t refill anything while we were there, and the crab was pretty good.
Breakfast Brunch -. Our family of 6 went at 11 am for Dalton’s Sunday brunch. We made reservations to ensure we got a table. Our server was very attentive and friendly and ensured our coffee was always filled and plates cleared away.I enjoyed the beef short ribs with the mushroom sauce and several entrees. They had roast beef, salmon & another fish with dill sauce. I’m glad they replaced the entrees when they were looking rather picked over. There was linguini with meat sauce, scrambled eggs (not rubbery), crispy bacon, sausages, hash browns, eggs benedict (these ones did not look fresh -was not pleased with this item), chicken breasts with tomatoe sauce, salads, smoked salmon, cocktail shrimps, fresh made omelots, etc. The chocolate fountain was with dark chocolate but it was rather runny and not thick. I rather like light chocolate myself that sticks to the cubes of fruit. The fruit platter ran out and it took along time to ensure more was put out. The sticks for the fruit also were mucked up with chocolate from kids running around touching the sticks with their sticky hands so they should ensure this doesn’t happen or people may get grossed out.2 choices of juice & coffee was available and a nice little dessert table with sweet choices. Not bad for $20 price but they need to keep an eye on presentation and ensure things don’t get messy or stale sitting out . I think I would come back again and give it another try. It was rather busy with lots of people for breakfast buffet brunch…
The Weekend Buffet at Dalton’s Steak and Seafood I must say is really exquisite. There is ample selection for the very discerning of dining patrons. The salads; nice variety. Main dishes nicely presented, pleasantly spiced, tasty and always hot.Soups nice selection and decent consistency; the variety is always changing so there is a rotation of hearty vegetables included in this fare.Enjoy the ambience here folks, the tables always well presented the linens clean, no spots on the glasses or silverware. Unfortunatly sometimes there might be the occasional delay in service but that is due to the very attentive service that one recieves here and if the resteraunt becomes busy you have to understand; you require patience to recieve a quality product. There is no music here but the tables are set spaciously to allow patrons privacy while dining and the mahogany interior with subdued tones of fabrics make this a very masculine enviornment to dine in.The windows allow beautiful lighting; and the patio is nice to visit outdoors with the floral baskets on a day filled with sunshine and without wind.Try the fabulous dessert selections; The dainties, the cheesecake,The chocolate fountain with fresh fruit.Nice selections of wines too some from local Canadian Vineyards. Enjoy a crisp chardonney or a mellow Merlot.Hmmmm! Culinary Delight and Satisfaction Galore……
