Tried the golden age poutine with spinach substituted for the bacon. It was pretty good, but that’s not saying much since I could eat a shoe if it was covered in hollandaise sauce. My brother raved about it too though so overall it was a good experience.

Bad Hash Browns. Went for lunch with a friend. It was a crappy day out and we went at about 12:30. There were only a few people in front of us, the service was really friendly and we didn’t have to wait long at all. We each had the eggs benny. The eggs were cooked perfectly, doused in a creamy delicious hollandaise sauce and served with a slice of crunchy toast and bacon. Unfortunately, the hash browns were not good. They were the shredded kind that are cooked in pans in the oven so they come in a square. A first I thought they were burnt as the outside was black but they didn’t really taste burnt, just awful and funny. I thought if I scraped off the burnt part that the inside might be ok but all the hash browns were a weird grey color. I just ate the eggs and toast. My friend had the same problems with her hash browns and she was thinking it was because they warm them by putting them on the flat top. So her explanation for the black color was from the flat top and the taste was from oil on the flat top. No matter what caused it, gross. I think I would give the truck another chance because the eggs and hollandaise and bacon were really good, but I would never order anything with hash browns again.

Super Breakfast. I’ve been looking forward to trying out the Mighty Skillet for months and I finally had the opportunity when the truck made a weekend stop in the NW.There’s about 10 different items to try on the menu and for breakfast lovers, there’s pretty much something for everyone. For $7, the Fist Fulla Benny was a nice treat. A greasier (rather than poached) egg sandwiched in an English muffin, it had a nice citrus-infused flavour to it.The Colossus Omelet Sandwich was a great decision on my part. A veggie full omelet with bacon slices sandwiched in French toast was a great breakfast for $7 (I thought this had more value than the benny). Add in the side of maple syrup and biting into this hot breakfast was complete satisfaction.I was also fortunate enough to try the Clobberin’ Time Oatmeal. The guys in the truck were nice enough to offer this to those who had been waiting line for a while. So on top of my meal being pretty full for my first visit, I also thought the oatmeal was bang-on delicious. There’s a lot of things packed into the oatmeal like nuts and fruit and brown sugar. For a small cup, and if you’re in a hurry, this is a great option to consider for a simple breakfast.I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich and I’d try plenty of other items on their menu. I think for anyone visiting the truck, be prepared for a wait. The food is cooked fresh and with a line, there’s quite a bit of work that has to happen to deliver your order. If you’re willing to wait, you might find a nice little meal from this unique food truck.

Change your hashbrowns!. The guys are great, but the hashbrowns are pretty much not edible. Too much pepper, soggy, seems to be the trend of the comments here, hope you guys listen because It put me off.

More on the hash browns…. They didn’t seem like they were cooked enough — the texture was more like grated raw potatoes than hash browns. And they tasted a bit soapy or something. Maybe it was just a bad batch?14 Dec, 2011All good, except…. I got the Eggs Benny and enjoyed it all, except for the hash. I really didn’t like the hash — had a weird texture and strange taste. Was barely palatable smothered in ketchup. So, thumbs down for me since I’m a big potato person…

Unreal!. The breakfast was amazing, fresh and hot and to top it off very reasonably priced! I have had the breakfast salad and corned beef hash, and both were delicious. You can’t get a better breakfast for that price in town, and the service was wonderful.I would recommend it to anyone!
