Finally, I was able to buy the well done beef noodle soup at Pho Thanh after so much deliberation. You may want to add another line in your menu that says Slices of Well Done Pho and don’t just tell your customer to order #2 but say well done slices of beef. How would I know as I only rely on your menu? Don’t get me wrong, I am an avid fan of your restaurant for almost 7 years since I came to Canada and so I would love it if you take comments on a positive note rather than making me feel guilty because I posted a not so nice review online. My comments that you might want to ponder upon – please put an English speaking person to take orders (as not all of your customers are Vietnamese), SMILE (smile can do wonders) and lastly, update your menu to include images.
Ah, Pho Thanh. The portions are the biggest in YYC, price is good, avocado milk shakes are legit and service is super fast. In summary: Big bowls, big fish and big G’s. It may not be the best pho broth but it’s the best pho experience. Make sure you’re strapped.
Me and my friends go to Pho place.Always good service and well priced food.I come from Toronto and this is the only pho place I’ve found that you get what you pay for.I’ve tried at least 6 different pho places in Calgary and they all have jacked up their prices.
The only positive for this place is the speed of their service. Food comes out really quick but I would say their broth and noodles arent the greatest.
If your looking for a quick meal, that’s the place. Fastest service ever. Great pho & vermicelli bowls. Reasonable prices. Can’t go wrong with that place!
Went in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was very busy, however being just my fianc and I we were seated almost instantly. Clean tables, although somewhat small sized. Food was easily ordered as is expected from a Vietnamese restaurant with the number system and it came out fairly quickly. Our bowls of Pho were fresh and hot, and the base broth was very tasty. Portion size were also very generous for the price. Quick service. Would go back if I’m ever in that area again.
Usually packed on weekends, fast service, pho broth is hot. Average prices, good proportions. Bathroom is dirty, small and there are no stalls/only one toilet, so there’s always a line up for the bathroom. Also when it is packed, they pressure you to eat so they can open the table to waiting customers.
