It has always been my dream to visit New Orleans and try some authentic Creole food that Alberta is lacking. I think I found my spot! We got the Blackened Catfish with dirty rice and Catfish and chips and they did not disappoint! Like other foodies have said, the portions are more than generous and prices more than reasonable. Taste is as New Orleans as its gonna get. We were both so full that we didn’t even have enough room for the Frog Legs which we were dying to try. Guess that is an excuse to come back next time!

Classic Dive Bar With Great Food. We come here often and have never had a bad meal. I am partial to the blackened catfish which has a nice kick to it. Have had the jambalaya, mac ‘n cheese, nachos & burger, it’s all been really good. Live Blues music to boot! Don’t judge by appearance.

I tried the Gumbo and was disappointed. Bland, overlooked proteins yet sadly thickened with a drastically undercooked rioux. It’s appearance was a grey bowl of plop. I like the joint so I’ll give another menu item a try another time.

Love it Love it Love it. Dark, dingy and Loud. exactly what a blues bar should be.Music is loud, food is Cajun and service is good.Out of frog legs again but I can wait, they are yummy.

Such a great spot for everyone. I am a young professional and this place is the best no matter who you are. Walk on in, grab a beer and some great food from their surprisingly amazing kitchen (even i judged that from the get go!). All kinds of people are always hanging out at the Blues Can and everyone feels welcome. I really enjoy Sunday nights when they have the local jam session going, no cover, great music and good people. Give it a try, you’ll enjoy yourself.
