A little intimidating at first walking in as everyone here is Turkish but they have the BEST meat and cheese pies in the city. Absolutely my favourite place, also if you are Mediterranean and live west they are a good place to check out for any groceries you may need, puts bread or Arabic cheeses and spices. The workers are so friendly!
Friendly service! We walked in as newbies, and stared at the menu board, above the restaurant kitchen area. The owner helped us choose our meal. We ordered the lentil soup (each), and two ‘pies’ to share. We ordered a ground beaf pie and a spinach pie. The soup came drizzled with a red oil and being a chili head, I immediately asked for more. The owner came back with a little cup of it for me right away. We were surprised and happy that the soup came with bread. We dunked it in our soup and enjoyed every mouthful. Then came the pies. Huge! We didn’t realize how big they were when we ordered them. They also came with a cabbage salad and some veggies. The spinach pie turned out to be our favourite but there was nothing wrong with the ground beef one either. When I return, which I will, I would order the soup and the spinach pie (to be shared), because then I will have room to shop around for a little dessert!
