Such an authentic and delicious Italian food establishment! I have been coming here for years and have always been impressed. The pasta is fresh and the sauces are flavourful. It is a family oriented environment and the staff are always welcoming. I highly recommend Bucas for great homemade Italian food!
Really good pasta at cheap prices. The hot mushroom sauce is delicious and spicy. Very good meatballs and the girls are also really friendly. We will be back again
Fresh pasta! The whole family enjoys it. HOT MUSHROOM SAUCE is the reason I come here! Would consider buying their take home sauces but the price and quantity doesn’t justify; might as well just dine in there.
I’ve been going to this place for 8+ years, and usually can’t say enough good things about my experience and the food at Buccas. I really hope the owner reads his reviews once in a while, The good: – I love how every single time I get a large pasta, you all layer the pasta sauce, ensuring there’s enough sauce for the amount of pasta in the container – your spicy mushroom sauce is incredible – your buns are fantastic, and free! – great portions, never stingy on sauce, parmesan, noodles, salad, or buns – homemade fresh noodles every day- friendly staff- Love the stamp card program, we eat at your store often enough that it makes it worth while for our family The Bad:- Over the years the tastyness of the food has changed, the flavour is really laking and it’s noticeably bland. I notice this most with the sundried tomatoe sauce (which I just ate last week) and the Alfredo sauce (ate three weeks ago). The tomatoe sauce from last week literally tasted like tomatoe paste. It had no salt, and no pepper. Unfortunately this isn’t the first time this had happened. The Alfredo sauce is also lacking in flavour, the only word to describe it is bland. There’s so many great reasons eat at buccas and pastas, please just add some more flavour to your sauces!!
Small, seems to be family run business tucked away on the west side of the city. Serving up large bowls of fresh pasta for a reasonable price. You would expect to see a line out of the door at 7pm on Friday night, but sadly no, there was but 3 customers that came through during the 30-40min we sat inside for dinner. The fact is; like said before you get what you pay for, the pasta and sauce may be fresh but my meal (tortellini with sundried tomato sauce) was extremely bland, in fact I don’t believe there was even a grain of salt added. The Cajun chicken tortellini was filled with a strange, brown, paste like substance that in no way resembled chicken, again very bland. My friend had the chicken parm which actually had some good flavour and moisture. Maybe bucas has some potential if they can just adapt the same flavour and quality to all their food. Quaint, clean, family run business but needs more seasoning!
Great place. Been going here for many years. Always a great quality and quantity of food.Good service and a reasonable price.Not a fancy restaurant by any means, but let’s face it, that’s not what it supposed to be.Can you eat there? Yes. Is or dirty? No. Can you go there in work clothes? Yes. Are you gonna leave full? Yes.Sounds like a good place in my book
